Looks good!!!
Those rotors are heavy.
The Brembo weigh about the same as MPBK.
cobra006 Unsprung weight is good for the traction.
With lighter unsprung weight, you will have to compensate it with stiffer spring rate, which is not good for the car handling in most cases.

Can you share details on how much those F85 rotors should cost and where you recommend getting them from? Ben? You sell them? I'm contemplating swapping my non cross drilled rotors for these new ones just because they have that "gotta love it" look. LOL...

^^ Ben could get you the stuff or any Bmw dealer could. Price per rotor were around 3 and change a piece. I found out you also need F85 specific hex screw that holds the rotor to the hub of the car. The factory hex screw is too big and won't sit flush with the F85 rotor. These are only a few bucks each.

Part number for the F85 X5M rotors
34112284901
34112284902

Part number for the hex screw (you need two)

Hi Alan,

You stopped to install the rear rotors of the F85 due to wrong position of the whole to fix the rotors on the hub?

Drilling a new hole will not fix the problem?

What do you think?

Best regards
Marcus

Hi Marcus,

I never intended to go with the F85 rear rotors. I really just wanted it up front for looks. drilling a new hole should resolve the issue though. Simple fix for those that want the rear x5m rotor as well.

Two hex screws per side? So four total? Much appreciated for the info!

Your car looks really good. What have you done with rear brakes? Painted calipers or?

Thanks!

Kept the original M Performance setup for the rear. The only difference between this and the X5M is the drilled rotor. Same size, same caliper....

The rear looks also good. One question off the topic. What is the ride like with 22"? And do you have Rft? I have the 20" Rft and the ride is quite firm. We have bad roads here.

Thanks

22" non RFTs here. Honestly they ride better than the stock 20" runflats.

The new rotors definitely fit the wheel better. I can only imagine how tiny the stock rotors looked up close behind those revealing BBS spokes.

BTW, those tires barely have any sidewall. I'm scared about thinking of 22" wheels lol

^^ Get some strong 22"s and i think you will be safe. These BBS seems to be holding up very well. They are heavy for good reason....
