2 Questions regarding wheels

1) Does anyone here have an M-Sport with the 19" wheels instead of the 20" wheels or seen an M-Sport in person with 19" wheels?

Haven't been able to see one and wondering if the wheels fill up the arches and how the 19" wheels look in general with the M-Sport. Seems like most here have opted for the 20" Wheels.

2) Does anyone know if E70 wheels will work on the F15 or has anyone successfully used their E70 wheels on an F15? If so, do you need new TPMS sensors? Any other parts needed to make the F15 accept E70 Wheels?

Have a set of winter 20" 214s for my 2012 E70 M-Sport with Pirelli Ice & Snow tires that I would like to be able use if I go with the 20" Summer tires on the F15.

Thank you in advance.

Here's a site that shows all the wheels and even 19" on a black and white m-sport: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=750916. This post shows the 19" wheels on a space grey: http://www.xoutpost.com/classifieds/...brand-new.html.

Also, you can retrofit previous e70 wheels because they have the same center bore of 74.1mm. I remember a member posting the 215 style wheel on his Alpine White F15 X5 located here: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=973109.

Hi.
This week I am taking delivery of a complete set of Winter Tyres and 467m 19" Wheels. They are Pirelli Scorpion Winter Run Flat Tyres which I am storing until winter comes.
I have the 20" 469ms with Conti performance/summer tyres on my M Sport.
I can post a picture of the 19" if you like. Let me know.

The 19's definitely do not fill the wheel well. I like the style, but they should be staggered with m sport. The height isn't so bad, the depth of the fenders is, when paired with the 19's.

I have the 19" 467M wheels on my X5. You can see photos in my thread (our next X).

I agree with chrisny, a staggered setup would really help. Not sure why BMW didn't do this from the start. They don't want us rotating the tires since they're runflats, so there's no real reason for them not to do this other than cost.

My other gripe is their massive sidewalls -- but I guess I can worry less about curb rash/potholes now!

I took more photos of 467M vs 469M back when we were test driving. Let me know if you'd like to see them. I can also make more photos of mine if you'd like (although mine are now powdercoated).

Ha, I totally forgot to mention you had the 19" wheels! I guess I'm so used to how good/bigger they look after you powder coated them that I forgot they were 19s .

This picture really helps. Your X5 looks great and the wheels look very good.

From the side, I never felt they were too small. The height is fine. But when you see how far inside those rear fender flares they are, that's where they fall short, IMO. That's why I suggested a staggered set up like other countries get with the 467's would be perfect. Extra sidewall to protect against curbs and potholes, but still a great looking wheel that feels neither big nor small.

19" 467M

Yes, thx. I went back and forth on upgrading to 20" but ultimately was dissuaded by the thought of riding on summer performance tires during an early fall or late spring snow storm (as we had this year) here in New England. I do swap out for Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow tires in winter but still feel more comfortable on all season rubber the rest of the year. I do admit that the 20" or 21" fill the flared wheel wells better though. I have attached a rear photo.

19" wheels

Cavman, the 19"s dont fill up the wheel wells, unless you have the suspension lowered a bit.

My new F15 X5 is on the way, due in first week of July. I am swapping out the 20" 469m wheels I ordered for the 21" 599m wheels once it gets here. Which means I will have a brand new set of 20" 469 wheels and tire available for purchase. Let me know if you're interested, PM me

My only regret is that I didn't upgrade to the 21" wheels when I got my new F15 M Sport. Even the 20's (in my opinion) look tiny, height-wise in these huge wheel wells. From the rear, those 11's wrapped in 315's out back look awesome!
