Sounds like you are over inflating the problem here which likely doesn't exist. As far as you got things the way you want them and you are happy with results- it's all good.
Completely agree with you. As I said I am newbie and first time using eSYS. I also learnt how to back up FA, SVT and CAFDs so some weekend I will venture into doing FA coding as I do want to do it. Also ISTA I downloaded but cannot get it to launch and having issues. Will read more on how to get that work. I did clear DTC errors with Transmitter app. The other member who had problems through PM said not all errors were erased with Transmitter and hence had to do ISTA.

Bit unrelated to subject for VLD is it just to remove 8S4 and VO code the relevant tree. I have xenon adaptive and through FDL coding it does not move sideways when I steer but not sure if the beam changes vertically depending on speed. Would that work only if you remove 8S4? Dont want to open new thread as I have experts here sharing the info.

I found this on other thread so seems this is what I did. In my case I activated feshasmode5.

If you go into the ICM module then the 300A DSC ICM CODIERDATEN folder. Towards the middle you will see a few feshasmode codes.

Mode 1 = Comfort
Mode 2 = Comfort +
Mode 3 = not sure
Mode 4 = Sport
Mode 5 = Sport+
Mode 6 = Don't know yet
Mode 7 = Eco Pro
Mode 8 = Edrive (not relevant)

You can turn any of these on (even though most are on by default) by activating the corresponding feshasmode code. For example, to turn on comfort+, you would change feshasmode2

I think you should move here https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...33991&page=235 and search in that thread.

Well oh well. I did the FA route for 2TB after I succeeded with 8S4 decoding. Now I see 2 fault codes in ISTA. I did all the steps like code appropriate VO, disable paddle verbaut but still I see these which I am unable to clear. The car runs fine and works as expected. Just annoyed with these error codes. Now left with only 2 codes as the lamp one got cleared. Thoughts?

Even you decoded shifters ISTA still wants to see that connection, nothing you can do about it. Car will not show you any errors (since you decoded the paddles) but ISTA is diagnostics application and with 2TB it is looking for paddle shifters, tries to run tests and it fails. As I said earlier there is no point to code Sport+ w/o shifters, you said that it's for "comfort" and you look into the wheel with shifters later, so enjoy your comfort, nothing to worry about here. Stop trying to literally re-invent the wheel.

You are right. Its a good learning. No errors while driving and its only appears in the ISTA. Paddles I typically dont use much. Have it on Audi S4 and i might have used it only handful of times so doesnt justify 2k expense to get paddles on F15. Thanks for the straight forward guidance.

I have the same situation. I will also try to find this option later.

correct name:
ICM-> FesHasMode5: aktiv

if paddles exist:
BDC_BODY 3390 -> Paddles_verbaut -> aktiv

Do you include this option?
BDC_BODY -> 3221 PfFesMaster --> FesHasMode 5 --> set to "Aktiv"

Don't code 2TB to your VO unless you have paddle shifters. It threw errors on the ECG for me that I could not clear easily. I had to remove the VO code, and get ISTAD to do full diagnostics and an adaptations reset. Took me a few hours to figure out.

Instead do this...

Enable Sport +:
ICM ICMKOD_B_SPORTLENKUNG aktiv

This enables Sport + image to show on your instrument cluster (Kombi)
KOMBI FDS_MENUE_TEXT_1/2/3/4 / menue_3

This enables Sport + image to show on your instrument cluster (Kombi)
KOMBI FDS_MENUE_SIGNAL_1/2/3/4 / menue_3

Enable Sport Automatic Transmission (SAT)
EGS SPORTSCHALTER aktiv
EGS SPORTSCHALTER_ALT aktiv

Enable Launch Control (requires both SAT coding above)
EGS LC aktiv

Hope that helps.
which part of the bimmercode app is this in?
