Did BMW change the recommended oil weight for N57 diesels?
Was browsing the GetBMWParts website and saw their oil change kits are on sale. Great. But then I read this:
Genuine BMW F15 X5 Diesel Oil Change Kit includes 1 Genuine BMW oil filter set that includes gaskets/washers, and 7 qts. of Original BMW TwinPower Turbo 5W-30 Diesel (vehicles up to MY2016) or TwinPower Turbo 0W-30 (vehicles from MY2016 and on). I have been using 5W-30 and my manual says 5W-30. Is anyone using 0W-30 and why?

I have been using BMW/Shell 5W-30 LL04 and am quite happy with the performance. And, I burn zero oil. So I am inclined to not change it.
