I usually get 550+/- miles per tank in long highway drives on comfort mode.

I tried to switch things up with my driving style and to eco pro and well my mpg improved from a 20mpg to a 24mpg. Still don't know how you guys are getting 27+ mpg .

The night picked up the 16, was driving back. The read out was 32 mpg
at 65. Hated that POS 13 X diesel, seeing numbers like that & what still seeing. Glad that oil burner is in someone else's hands. My 14 GMC sierra returns better numbers than the X oil burner did. Its possible, know some have oil burners with great numbers, mine was garbage. Still have a 10 328 6cyl, on the road that car will read near 40mpg. The 10 335i did not come close to those numbers. We keep the 328 cause the car just does not break |

I know this isn't a diesel thread, but my 2016 X5d gets 1-2 mpg better on average than my 2014 X5d did -- averaging 70mph on freeway (200 mile trips, no mountains) in comfort mode gets me 36 mpg.

Is your X5 an S or X drive? Regardless I would be real happy with this. Mine only has about 2400 miles so mileage should improve as I drive more. By the way how many miles on your car?

I have 25000km and use it 70% highway in cruising eco mode. I have the MPPK also for city sport driving when needed. I average 18mpg since I've had the car. I'm not sure how others can get 25mpg in a 35i. But I think in the winter climate areas you will burn a bit more fuel.

I just did a road trip from Columbus, OH to Raleigh, NC and I got around 458 miles out of my tank. 98% in comfort mode doing average 70mph, up and down the mountain in WV. I'll snap a shot of my trip computer later and post a pic.

TortugaX5 - thanks for posting the pictures.
We took a 2017 xDrive35i for a 24 hour test drive from Colorado Springs to Vail, Colorado and back and averaged 24 MPG for the entire trip. Ended up being the final factor in our changing our minds on buying a diesel and going with the gas version. Driving was a mix of town, back-country 2-lane highway, mountain passes and altitudes of 6500 to around 11,000 feet; left the vehicle in the default mode that it starts with which I think is eco-pro if I remember. Temperatures were in the 25 to 35 degree range. What was also impressive was how quickly the SUV would accelerate from 50ish to 80ish at 9000 feet; felt there was no loss of power at altitude.

On my way back from NC I got even better gas mileage, this time!
Really happy with the MPG the 35i gets on road trips on the highway. All of my driving was done in comfort mode and I was driving normally, aside from a few times I had to floor it to pass a semi. |

wow these are eye popping great numbers for a 4500lb gasser. My E70 X5d is getting getting same highway numbers...
With how fast depreciation is on the F15 35i, I might just need to jump into one.

Ok I have a question for u guys I have a 17 35i with MPE and MPPK installed usually I typically do about 80 miles round trip on my daily commute and I get around 22-24 mpg highway usually I'm in comfort mode but every now and then will throw her in sports mode and manual to hear some burbles from the MPE so round trip I tend to burn about a quarter tank !!! Now the think that has me baffled is I also own a 16 and a 18 g12's which are both v8's and have smaller tanks than the f15 !!! Only by about a gallon and a half but surprisingly the v8's get better gas mileage!!! Now my 18 g12 is heavier than 16 g12and my 17 f15 because of options I guess and my 16 g12 which is pretty much base is lighter than my 17 f15 but I'm at a loss because I can't figure out how both g12's are v8's with smaller tanks but get better gas Mileage side note my 16 g12 has been tuned and has been straight piped !! The 18 is totally stock !! So maybe one of you guys can help me understand cause again I'm stuck with no clue how this is possible
