steering wheel won't telescope
i have a 2014 Xdrive 35i X5. took it in for scheduled maintenance and decided to have them fix my auto steering adjustment that stopped telescoping (still goes up and down) months earlier.
two weeks, and a replaced part/electronic system reprogram later, i got a call saying it was fixed. sure enough was fixed when i picked up the car......but 4 days later, and the problem has re-occurred. auto adjustment on the steering wheel will not telescope. manually, or on start-up/shut down. anyone have the same issue? |

Yes, lots of people do.. There was another thread last week discussing this.

Time for another trip back to the dealer, unfortunately.

My old car did this but it was out of warranty. This why I know many folk that like to have their easy entry/exit function disabled.

Mine works fine but I have a different problem that is of concern. When the steering wheel is automatically lowered to my preferred setting after starting the vehicle, it makes a different sound, like loose internal wires??? This is a new issue and of course I am going out of warranty soon.
