I really wanted a Samsung but the Sony TVs blew them out of the water. Bought a 65" XBR and have been so happy with it. Picture quality is extremely good.

even if you guys buy the newest 4k tv's that support HDR10 and Dolby Vision technology changes every year. Same time next year you'll start to see prices drop! i'm already seeing 80" tv's which 80-100" will be the norm come next year!

No 4K is only only on Netflix and Amazon. Hulu is only on PS4 Pro coming everywhere else shortly.

some chicks say if you got OLED size doesn't matter as much? But I'm skeptical.

Threw remote at screen and destroyed TV. Went out and bought a LG OLED and have been extremely happy with the excellent picture.

OLED all the way or anything but Samsung.
This. Every word of it from start to finish.

I think size matters, but apparently it helps if you own a jeep. according to a youtube video at the last la auto show, when asked which car girls dig most the jeep was voted #1 with BMW and Mercedes close behind. Anyway, she won't know what size you are until you're both naked.

Agree. I bought a 70'' 5-6 years ago. I paid out the nose back then for such a large HDTV. I wish I had gotten the 80'' looking back at things.

I want to replace it but now I have no place to put the 70'' and I am sure it is not worth much used ;( So i'm stuck with it until it breaks...or I break it.

I always laugh when a woman tells me her dream car is a Wrangler. Then go buy one? Not like they are expensive.

From what I saw I'll keep my Pioneer-Kuro ,picture quality still looks really amazing.
This in combination with my 6.1 from Bowers&Wilkins is mind blowing.

For the moment I don't look further..

Not a bad call, banding and brightness issues with LG oleds, not the greatest blacks and poor off axis viewing with lcds. Combine both and you would have a great set. Plus it Looks like Dolby vision and hdr+ have a few issues to work out.

The next gen tvs might be the time to pull the trigger.

Ordered samsung MU8000 65 from costco, will arrive tomorrow. I got that one cause it was recommended and the 240hz refresh rate is important. Paid 1249 and got 150 google play credit.

Looking for a 55 inch mid range TV, nothing flash just reliable and with a good SMART suite.

My Panasonic Plasma has magnificent picture quality but fuck me it's a nightmare with all apps crashing etc and even ROKU won't work properly on it. Really is pissing me off to no end.

$1400 here, on sale.

Issue i am facing is that my plasma has outstanding image quality even from acute angles so replacing it with an LED with similar performance means yeah, $1500, no tthe $700 i was hoping for. Fuck.

TBH i want to move the panny upstairs because the apps on it don't work which is fucking infuriating but I ain't settling for a shitty picture.

This here. Why do I need to buy anew-fangled TV, when nothing I am watching is coming in any better than my Sony already does.

Due to space limitations with existing furniture that costs more than these TVs, I'm still in the 40 range anyways. . .

Costco had PALATES of those MU8000 65" TVs, and also the lesser cousin that only does 120.
