Hello Friends,
So i ordered Carlinkit box from aliexpress and i'm having issue with this box, wonder if anyone experience this problem before ? ( my car is 2015 x5 ) so i install the box into my head unit and everything work expect the climate control dash doesn't want to light up and work. i have narrowed the problem down to either the box take up so much power for the climate control system to work or my car have problem with electricity by unplugged the box and reconnect all the original wire and the climate control dash work normal. Have anyone experience this before please let me know if i'm on the right track and maybe a way to fix this issue. Thank you. |

Recheck all connectors to the climate control panel (bent pins, loose connectors, etc.) That's your problem

Yeah, what Kraftwerk AG said.
When I did mine, the connection I found that gave me the most issues behind the control panel are the blue connections (at least in '16) with the white locking mechanism. Just make sure they're locked into place. My passenger side connection was in but I found out it wasn't locked. Before I fixed it, I was having temperature issues with my AC. As soon as I made it was locked into place - problem solved. |

Generic Andream Installed with Widescreen Android Auto
Hey folks! Finally pulled the trigger and got two of these units from AliExpress for the X5 and 650i. Installation was simple enough. Cable management was tricky due to the way the MOST cable has no play. Simply removing the MOST cable from the cable sleeve solved this. Once It had more play everything fir neatly behind the head unit. I routed the WiFi cable up along the LVDS cable and stuck the antenna to the back of the display.
Package Content Installed and working The unit started right up after everything was connected. I was worried when I saw the mic and AUX connectors in the included harness, but neither of those are required since the audio is routed directly to head unit (albeit still through the aux channel) and uses the car's built-in mic. I figured that the harness is made to fit pretty much any car's hardware configuration, which is a nice touch. As with most of these units, Android Auto out of the box does not utilise the new widescreen layout. This is easily fixed with a custom firmware (Courtesy of Firefly1337 on the F30 forum). Flashing it takes a minute and comes with several tweaks, most notable of which is the widescreen Android Auto implementation. Since it uses the AUX channel the track info etc does not display on the cluster or HUD, nor do the track up/down show but you can set the unit to allow the audio wheel to navigate the display which is the next best thing. After the initial setup, the Android Auto starts up in under a minute after getting into the car. No need to connect the phone with USB. |

trouble on connecting OEM mic
Hi,
I bought the Andream unit on my 2014 X5. However, I'm not able to find the mic connector inside the overhead dome. Does anyone has experience on how to connect to the OEM mic? |

Crazy idea. Think it would be possible to use the android screen plus the Andream unit? Main reason for the question is that the Android OS doesn't really work anymore so no CarPlay. However, having an HD screen is very nice and I don't want to give that up.
Pipedream or maybe it can be done? |

What is the wifi password for the andream unit?
And to connect to CarPlay for the first time, you just connect to the carplay wifi, then carplay bluetooth, then press and hold the menu button on iDrive controller? Sorry for dumb questions, I can't seem to find the instructions. |
