Is there a separate cargo net, I was not aware of? I just have the one that is pulled up from the rear cargo cover and then inserted in the holes of the roof...

Yes there is a Cargo net, on the left corner, there is a opening, you will find your cargo net there.

Sorry to ask a stupid question, on the left corner of the boot, behind the lining, I am not aware of a hole? Are you sure this is a safety net to separate the passenger compartment and the boot, because they are usually large rolls that can hold heavy cargo, is it possible you are talking about a net that holds small items in palce in the boot?

I found it too in the pouch on the left, this is however not a very strong one and as I suspected useful only for attaching stuff, not as a safetynet between the luggage compartment and car.

I don't know about Canada, but in here the cargo net + eyeglass holder compartment are all part of a EUR 323 option: 493 - Storage compartment package

Thanks, I didn't know that it was an option (eye glass holder). Still not available on 2015 X5 unlike the X4.

What do you have instead of the eyeglass holder? This is what it looks like for all US models, where the red arrow points to:

Thanks MattBianco, I guess Special Order $350 plus the option another $300, too much.
Plastic cover, I sure it some how unpins/hinges. No hole at the arrows.

@barcelona, a handy and brave DIY person may be able to do something, but not I.

A cheaper option may be these: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=430212 but I don't know if they fit F15 handles.

@barcelona I searched about 70 minutes as I was determined to at minimum find the part number for you:

SPECTACLES TRAY OYSTER 51447352807 other colors available. Name is "spectacles tray" no glasses or sunglasses.

you may need other colors.

My guess is you may need 1, 2 and 3 from this diagram. Not too pricy. I cannot confirm however, anything about install.

This page shows all BMW original accessories, including the nets, if that helps.

Hi MattBianco
I appreciate your research time. Yes looks you id'd the correct part, probably need 6,7 & 8. It appears delicate with many small clip, screws on each of trim, headlining & roof liner. For me, I would probably need extra screws and I would probably poke a hole in the headliner fabric.

Your site is good. I use BMW electronic parts catalogue, works with VIN number. http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/acc...catalogue.html

Sorry folks for converting cargo net thread into spectacles tray.
