Help - Sensor (?) missing from front bumper (2 month old 2015 X5d)

I was washing my 2015 X5d today and noticed what I suspect is a sensor of some sort missing from the front bumper. I took possession in early October 2015 so this is really surprising to see this missing.

Can anyone identify what it is that fell out?

I'm assuming this will be covered under warranty?

Looks like the tow hook cover fell off

Yep, as the other two above me mentioned, you lost/someone stole your tow hook cover.

Dealer should cover it, but if they don't, it costs about $20. Part number is 51117378591. You have to obviously tell them your vehicle color. http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2714503/.

I used to have a E93 335i and someone used to always steal the headlamp washer covers !!!!

They used to take ages to come from AG and then the dealer used to spray at the body shop
