Curious - Where are various components made
I am curious - where are our engines, transmissions, and other major components made. Are the engines ever run before being installed in the vehicle. When I was a young lad, I worked in a Ford Mustang plant. The engines were never run until the car rolled off the production line. All parts were sourced from within the good old USA

Does not state total suppliers. I think wheels are made in Germany. North American suppliers – 270 South Carolina suppliers – 40 |

On my window sticker, it says engine is from Austria and transmission is from Germany.

If I recall from looking at the sticker it is just as @punjabiM3 says, and that 5% (of the value) is US supplied.
Transmission is by ZF Friedrichshafen AG in Austria and goes in many cars, including Fords. I think most if not all the lights are Latvia /Bosch. |
