2007 X5 Rough Idle

Had car sitting for 2 weeks while I was in hospital.

Started car and the idle was very rough. Could not accelerate and drove car just a mile before I returned home. Car seems to be sputtering.

Left it for 3 days and tried it again.

Car started up and seems to drive normally.

I used premium 92 gas.

Was this a vacuum or injection issue?
Did this hurt the car and system going thru this.
What would you do in this situation again to get car back to normal quicker.

Thanks for your answer

2007 X5 rough idle

My guess is that a dirty valve may be the problem.

I'm a novice under the hood...Is this something I should take to the shop or can I remove it and look for dirt?

Thanks for your reply
