2015 50i - Good price or not?
Hello everybody! My first post in the X5 forum. Looking to replace my wife's 2011 35i M Sports Package with this one. The dealership don't have any actual pics on the link, but we seen it in person and OMG! (BEAUTIFUL)! Test drove it and the 445HP is amazing for a SUV and I drive a 2013 550i M-Sport. Anyway, appreciate any and all feedback on if this is a good price or not...

That thing has some VERY nice options on it! Pretty much all the "toys" if you will. You'll make quite a few of us very jealous on this forum if you decide to buy it. Just missing Carbon Black, but Sapphire Black is gorgeous also. The fact that it's a CPO makes it that much more appealing.
I took a look at what's selling at the auction, and you are looking at very high $50s to mid $60s. So considering how loaded this one is, and the that's it's a CPO, I don't think the asking price is that far off. Best of luck. An X5 with this many goodies is bound to sell quickly. |

Question...Kidney Grills...I want to change them to the gloss black, but I have the night vision. Do you know if I'm able to just pull and replace or do I have to disconnect the camera from the grill? What I'm wondering is who buys a car, put every option in the car (MRSP $96K, could have purchased an X5 M) and only puts 11k miles on it then returns it! Anyway, whoever you are my wife and I thank you very much. My daughters, 8 & 5 are happy as well because of the rear entertainment. We had the rear entertainment in the 2011 as well; which makes road trips somewhat bearable. |

Maybe an executive demo (a car given out for BMW execs to use as their personal vehicles, not the same as a dealership demo/loaner). They can be great values...generally one year old (or thereabouts), very low miles, very attractive options/features and always CPO.
Based on the amount of X5 5.0 demos I've seen at my dealer, I'd think that these were the 'standard' exec car for BMW during 2015. |

Yes it is a beast! It has a nice little rumble that I’m jealous of that I don’t have in my N63. Yea he had to take a killing on the depreciated value, but like Double_J said it’s a possibility that it was an executive demo car. Either way why didn’t he or BMW put the B&O in there instead of the HK and then I could really say she’s “fully loaded”…haha! But, I’m not complaining because the HK is a nice upgrade from the Hi-Fi.

Preventing them is easy: remove as much dirt as possible with hose/power washer, get a good sponge and use the two bucket method and dry with a clean waffle weave microfiber! |

Unfortunately, the only way to get rid of them once you do have them is through a good machine polish. It's absolutely something you can DIY if you have the interest and the time (there's a bit of a learning curve and a willingness to go through rounds of trial & error to find the best polish/pad combo for your car), though I tend to leave it to the professionals. Given that it's something you'll probably only need every 3-4 years I think it's well worth the price to have it done by someone who knows what they're doing. |
