Trailer - Electric Brake Controller - anybody?
Hello,
I was wondering if anybody that is towing with their X5 is using a Electric Brake Controller that is required for some Car Haulers, RV, Utility Trailers ect. If so, some help/info would be truly appreciated . I installed this Kit: http://www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-V...id=20141170285 Also found in this post: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1021189 Overtaxed plake ramsal IFlyEm SpeedN8 alphaod In addition I connected the 4 pin flat to 7 pin adapter. (https://amzn.com/B0002Q80GS) Now comes the part I have no experience with, as far as what to buy and how to connect, though I think I would be able to figure out how to connect it once I know what to buy. Either way it would be great if anybody that has done this could give me some insides and or some info/feedback. Thanks!!!! If you have not done this before but have some information on it or know what I need to do PLEASE feel free to comment as well! Last edited by MrTookies; 09-19-2016 at 10:45 AM.. |

I use the following on my Featherlite. So far it's worked great and zero complaints - main benefit is tow vehicle is interchangeable with the trailer. Just carry the brake controller which plugs into cigarette lighter. And no wires to the BMW system or routing it to the driver compartment Last edited by bjcarls; 09-19-2016 at 01:27 PM.. |
