Another MPPK Question
A while back someone posted the MPPK PDF file. I thought I read in there it's not to be used in conjuction with the trailer hitch. By that I assume they mean the OEM tow package (harness, module, etc.), anyone know why that is or did I misread that?

Has to do with the Tuning with the mppk. Since the engine is working harder with the MPPK they advise not to tow. I haven't heard of any horror stories, but I guess I wouldn't try it.

MPPK changes shift points so higher revs are sustained, so probably puts more strain on the transmission as well. There is no heavy duty trans fluid cooler on the 35i
Do a forum search for MPPK and towing, a few posts talk about it. If you're just putting a bike carrier or something small on the hitch probably fine. |
