Let's share things you like about your BMW. Things they got just right!
First of all I like corrosion resistance BMW has. It's one of the best. I've never had rust issues with any BMW I've owned (can't say same with Dodge, Ford and even Honda and Nissan I've owned in the past).
Secondly, ZF8 transmission is very very good - I like almost everything about it, tho maybe it's not entirely BMWs fault Thirdly, I like the looks! Got complemented twice within last 3 days I sometimes just stare at the rear of my x5 and think about how perfect taste I have in cars |

M-Sport visual package for sure. Just love looking at the steering wheel when I get in each day.
I'm also extremely happy with Idrive. Coming from a JGC with a pretty weak infotainment system, Idrive is awesome. The voice recognition is also best I've used in a car to date.

The design interior/exterior.
BMW is known for amazingly blending interior colors together. Just look at their individual interiors, it's spectacular. Also my Idrive is almost 4 years old, and still looks and works better than most 2018 brand new cars out there. |

There is literally nothing cheap in BMW cars -in general.
Had 328xi Coupe in the 2000s and can attest that the ride is excellent. Had a chance to look at bottom of vehicle as mechanic allows me into the work area. No need to do underbody wash, as car is covered. It's not a coincidence folks that a mid-size SUV BMW X5 35i with very little extras is at 60K, whereas, say, a Chevy Tahoe LTZ or Yukon Denali, much larger SUVs with 5.2L engines are about the same price. |

I think BMW iDrive is phenomenal. We also have a 2017 Mercedes G63, and the Infotainment system and controls are prehistoric (although the biturbo V8 engine and sound do make up for it
At night, the interior lighting and colours in my X5 are just incredible. It looks like a $100k+ car. Gorgeous. LED headlights are phenomenal! 20 inch wheels are some of the best looking wheels I have ever had...at least 5 compliments received from friends! 8 speed transmission is near flawless. Comfort Access is flawless. Radio/music quality is excellent and bluetooth performance and ease of use is top notch!! I like the rear of the F15 (although it is a tad boring)...but I think the front end of our X5s are just awesome. Aggressive, mean, purposeful and you can tell they will age very well with new models!! A good design, is just a good design. Look at the E46 M3, still looks amazing. Mid/late 90's 7 Series...still beautiful. Early-mid 90's Mercedes W124 E Class...still considered one of the best cars in the world! |

The new iDrive with the touchscreen is surprisingly useful when messages come in. In the past, using the control knob to get to messages was a bit cumbersome. Now you can just touch the envelope icon and you are there.
The X5 looks sharp from multiple angles. |

Definitely the idrive. Tried other brands like Benz, Audi, Lexus, Porsche, Acura ...Etc none of them can compete with bmw idrive system. Bmw idrive have the best display, easiest to control, quicker response ...etc

I like how...
When you put in reverse the rear and side view mirrors turns off the dimmer and the passenger side view mirror tilts down so you dont curb your wheel. 35d gets hella good gas mileage averaging 26-27 better if i put it in eco pro, and lay off the left lead foot, also the torque from the engine is amazing. M sport aero package, I love the aggressive stance and looks, mine is the X-Line i do plan to do a conversion in the future, its relatively cheap too +- $1500 for for all hardware and bumper and +- $1000 for rear retrofit. Driving dynamic, engine trans and AWD system, its so harmoniously sync together its mind blowing Adaptive LED headlight, by far the most whitest and brightest light i've ever seen, im a little upset that i've been spoiled by them, Xenon headlight are not the same as it used to be. Unstoppable in snow (with appropriate tires) drives like a tank, i have my old E70 18 in 209 wheels, wrapped in bridgestone Blizzak tires. |

The interior color (red). I've always had black interior cars because that's all dealers seem to order.
The ride quality. Yes even with 24s it still rides great. Better than my GFs Ghibli with 20s. The aggressive front end. The wheel offset. A lot of newer cars have a weak offset where you can't fit a big lip or have a lot of concavity. The Harmon Kardon stereo sounds very good. Probably one of the best balanced stereos I've heard in a car once you get the EQ right.

I've used infortainment systems from a lot of different cars and for some reason only the iDrive fits me. I like having the map as a default view to see traffic and such, and it's also clear where everything is.
I drove a Bentley/Audi/Porsche system... still can't figure out how to zoom in and out. The Jaguar/Land Rover system is mess. Forget American cars. Their systems are all trash. Mercedes is usable, but still a bit lacking.

That head up display! So helpful for idiots like me who never read the posted speed limit signs. Just glad both my BMWs do it for me so I don't get in trouble.
And man I love that rear tailgate on the F15. Super helpful for short people like me especially after monumental Costco runs. And it's our favorite place to change the baby when we're out and about (I don't trust public changing areas). #dadlyfe |

M Sport and improved ride quality. My mother inlaw had the 1st Gen X5 and it was too truck like. Mind you I was a Lexus guy and still am but was pretty impressed with the F15 35i loaner minus the slight giddy yup when stomping on it. I told my wife (Beemer head E46,E90 & F30) that this isn't a bad car and if I were to get one it would have to be M Sport AWD and tune the 35i. I was semi joking since I thought I would buy Lexus for life but here I am 2 years later with a F15 50i M Sport. I couldn't convince her to let me get the F85.

Yep, this car will age very well.
1. 50i with DHP = happy driving. 2. Well-sculpted body lines. 3. iDrive = best navi system thus far. 4. 315s rear tires = looks like a tank.

Nice to see a thread focusing on the good things about BMW.
Love the acceleration the 35i; the off road capability, sense of being in something engineered and built solidly. Nothing else to add that has not already been said.
