Bimmercode: Coding to save Sports mode + 5 Clicks

Okay, I have decided to code my 2014 X5 F15 to be able to save/remember my drive mode after shut down. Summer is here and i find myself constantly switching to Sports mode after each start.

I did find save Sports mode in BCD but doesn't work, it still restarts up in Comfort as default. am I missing something?

Secondly, I changed the blinker from 3 times to 5 times but it's still only 3 clicks.

I have coded many features 6 months ago and they all works... now I couldn't figure out why I can't get those 2 to work

Supposedly you have to reset the driver profiles before it will accept the five blinks coding.

I did the start in last mode coding and it works fine. If I recall correctly you have to code it in two places for it to stick. Sorry, can't be of more help, check the other modules. I can't remember which ones they were.

The 5 blinks seem to be hit or miss. I also can't get it to go to 5 but others have been able to do it no prob.

Body Domain Controller (BDC) and Integrated Chassis Management (ICM) are the two places you need to code for remembering drive mode.

Successfully coding five blinks depends on your I step level. It doesn't work for newer I step levels.

There should Also be a toggle to restart in previous mode. Did you tap that one?

I believe it’s separate from the save last mode toggle.

Yes. The newest sw can't use the blinker nor change led piping colors

Should be in the iDrive somewhere. Couldn't say where specifically. Do some searching and I'm sure you'll find it.

This is thoroughly covered in the coding thread. I recommended starting there. And there is one for ESYS and one for BimmerCode. There's an excel cheat sheet and everything

I was going to code some things tomorrow, I'll try and get a screenshot of the settings for you.

I read every page before I started mine. It keeps other forum members from having to answer the same questions every time another person decides to code.

So you're either going to spend some of your time learning and researching, or some of our time typing the same answers over and over. 99.99999% of any potential questions are already answered in the coding threads for Bimmercode.

Respect the time and effort others have already spent documenting the coding for you.

To set your vehicle to always start in "Sport" mode, you need to code a setting, the same setting, in Integrated Chassis Mgmt (ICM) and Body Domain Controller (BDC). In the attached screenshot from Bimmercode ICM module, I have the "Driving Mode on Startup" set to "Sport". That's the only setting in each module you need to mess with.
Steps:
- fire up Bimmercode and your vgate device
- go to ICM module
- set Driving Mode on Starup to Sport
- code ICM
- ignore errors from car
- back out of ICM and go to Body Domain (BDC) module
- open a beer while bimmercode reads all those bdc settings
- scroll down the bdc settings until you get to those same drive mode settings
- set Driving Mode on Startup to Sport
- code BDC
-ignore errors
- close out Bimmercode app, shut down car
- exit car and lock with fob, leave the car alone
- wait 15-20 minutes
- unlock car and start...all errors should be clear
-drink another beer, you're done

Go into: BDC_01, Then "Expert Mode" > 3068 > BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP > value 0x04 (for 5 blinks)
Worked for me

I want it to remember my drive mode each time.
If I drive it in sport, I want to start up in sport again. Most of the time I drive in Comfort so I would like to remain on comfort after restart.

Do I still set to sport on both ICM and BCD?
