i sat in a vette a few months back and it wasn't super ergonomical for me, i don't like high window lines, and the front window has a very long slope and seemed really far away (i'm 6'03"). if you can't drive a 350 (i doubt a dealer will let you, they treat them like they are gold), at least sit in one and see if it speaks to you.

My wife and I were in Florida on holiday a while back and we had a Mustang convertible rental, nothing special but for an American car I thought the interior was so much better than they used to be (I haven't had an american car for a few years). While we were out a GT350 passed us on A1A, OMFG what a sound that engine makes.....I swear I was on my computer later that day researching them....a bit more than I could afford and my wife would kill me especially since she talked me into buying my 993 last fall.....I seriously need to win the lottery.

Then after 7 months of ownership, I realized that on the front right splitter, the paint is not even as if it was resprayed multiple times causing an uneven layer and that was it, I got sick of the car and sold it. Now that you say this about Mustangs, never buying a Mustang again. Especially considering the fact that they lose 50% of their value here in Dubai in the first year due to how many used Mustangs that were totalled and repaired available on the market bringing the overall price down. |

GT350 is still a Mustang. The best of the bunch yes. Sounds great, it that gets old after awhile. I thing the GS is a lot of car for the money. Does a lot right. But I still chose an M3 over it for the practicality.

Definitely C7 if it was me. You have to drive both to fully appreciate the experience I would suggest.

Saying the GT350 is just a Mustang, is like saying the M3 is just a 320i. They are both based on predestrian cars. Ironically after their perspective brand tuners get a hold of either car, the GT350 ends up being the better performing car.

Save money up front on the C7 or save money on the GT350 when your done driving it. The GS is definitely going to drop in value at a quicker rate. The flat plane Voodoo engine is going to be a cult classic down the road. Last of a dying breed.

As an engineer at Ford for many years, I will respectfully disagree. My perspective is that BMW, especially the M3, is a superb all around vehicle that is highly performance-minded. For a weekend or track car, I suspect the GT350 is great. As a daily I think anyone would tire of it very quickly. I have 4 Fords, a bike and usually a sports car in my garage. Due to the practicality and utility of the M3, it is currently my special car.

What does your M3 being more practical have to do with your statement? Saying the GT350 is just a Mustang, is just like saying the M3 is just a 320i. They are both an ignorant thing to say. What matters is the end product, not the starting point. When it comes down to it, the GT350 performance numbers exceed both M3 and M4.

As far as what the used ones are worth, people actually selling them (not trying to sell them) are getting clobbered - even as dealers are still marking up the new ones. The engine is absolutely wonderful, but it can't make up for all the other things that are wrong with the car. P.S. The M2 was not based on the 320i; it was based on a platform with a higher degree of performance. |

GT350 all day out of those two options. However, you could get a C6 ZR1 for the same money and that car blows all of them out of the water. Just my .02.
