Hi folks- great thread. I really appreciate all the contributors/contributions.

Quick question...I'm going to be VO coding my 2018 F15 for heated steering wheel retrofit when it arrives in April or early May. Which ECUs do I need to code once I've added the 248 to the VO? Thanks in advance!

P.S. I'll be swapping the wheel and switch too. I know coding alone won't get me a warm steering wheel.

Quick question - I got the Esys cable, and followed the instructions provided. With the VM provided in the instructions. Seeing everyone ask/receive for the latest software, is that something I should/could do as well? Or should I just leave it as is for some reason. Thanks in advance.

You need PSdZ > vehicle I-Step. If you are not getting reading errors, then no reason to update.

I've been able to do FDL coding with no problem. Trying to update my FA/VO today to add SBRE for msport brakes but when I calculate FP, I only get blank folders on the right with number references only. When I look in DATA\FP folder, I don't see anything within there.

I've downloaded E-sys correctly and PSzdata lite and as state can do FDL coding, any reason why I can't see FPs?

thanks,

Ignore it. FP (Vehicle Profile) is unimportant. Calculate FP, and if no errors, Save FA and proceed with coding.

One last question, so when I try adding in SBRE, do I add that as a sibling of K235. When I right-click on HO-Wort, I can't edit, I can only choose "new", do I simply type in SBRE and that's it?

Thanks again

Yes, Right-Click => New => SBRE, then both HO-Wort will be present.

I feel helpless.

I wrote the new FA, went back to coding, FA showed new SBRE, I read ECU, and it showed DSC2 when people were stating it should show DSC. I activated FA and coded DSC2. Drove the car around and to me the brakes feel the same.

I'm not sure if DSC2 already existed prior to adding SBRE. Anymore input is appreciated.

Edit: Update

I guess DSC2 is correct, I now see that
my front rotor size is FN AL 42 /36/395
Rear was set to FN AL 42 /24/385, since I didn't change the rear, I changed those back to FN AL 44/24/345

Retrofit TPMS to X5 5/2014

My retrofitted TPMS' are not working. Retrofitted TPMS to my 5/2014 X5 35xi Euro. Sensors are 6855539. Added option 2VB to FA and VO coded HU_NBT and KOMBI. Could not find any relevant RDC/RPA coding in BDC nor DSC. iDrive screen looks like on photo. All TPMS' seem to be connected, but no readings. Anyone has an idea how this could work, what did I do wrong?

OK, radio silence. Let me ask a different way... if I add 248 to the VO, I can code the new VO to every ECU and that will ensure heated steering wheel functionality without negative effects, correct?

Thanks again.

No negative effects if you are using external charger and clear errors with external transmitter.

You can use TM NCD / CAFD tool to give you an idea of which ECU's to code.

OK, thanks! Now by external transmitter, you mean E-Sys Transmitter function?
I.E., Click "External Applications" in the left menu.
Click "External Application"
Double-click "Transmitter"
Scroll to the bottom and double-click "... Clear all DTCs ..."

Correct? Thanks again.

P.S. I know the newbie questions get tiresome but thanks for your patience.
