So the sales advisor swaps them over like a boss! Love my BMW dealer. Why I return for the past 15 years.
Dooooooooood! Nicely played! Loyalty does indeed pay off sometimes eh?
Yes loyalty is royalty when among honorable men.

I like the door sills. I actually just bought set. Still need to install them.
How do you like the roof spoiler? Is it CF or black?

The spoiler is BMW paint code of Jet Black (668) A Close match to Shadowline trim.

The door sills will have to grow on me as I liked the bold M of my factory M sport ones. But the light up on open is pretty sweet.

Since I have the Space gray, do you think the roof spoiler will even be noticeable? Also, how much was it? Thanks.

Steve Thomas BMW did it for $240 shipped to me. (BMWPartsPros on the forums)

It'll be noticeable and matches the factory tint and personally i think it looks better on darker colored cars.

Thanks glad to have it back.

By latest this weekend my rails will be dipped in gloss black. I was going to today but that didn't happen after all of the little things I had to do.

Here are some pics of the installation with Wu! Wraps of Seattle, WA in conjunction with Imperial Tint and Vinyl of Bellevue, WA.

Thanks to the fellas for the work and craftsmanship.

We used 3M 1080 Gloss Black, 3M primer, and an assortment of vinyl wrapping tools.

First we wrapped the trim which was satin aluminum on my M sport, remember to use 3M primer to make it hold all around the trim. needs to be wrapped in two pieces. First lay it on the top and then fold toward the inside of the X5. Second piece will be what you see from the side profile. Lay this on the side and tuck it in deep into the side.

Then we wrapped the roof, we did not remove the antenna but instead cut around it and tucked it in with some 3M primer all around it.

Total job took 3 hours with two highly skilled professionals and myself (Amateur)

Enjoy some iPhone pics

Antenna will be plasti dipped with four coats of matte black and three coats of glossifier.

I am still debating on the trunk top portion as I think it would look good in all Gloss Black or I'm going to have my spoiler paint matched to Alpine white

I was thinking the same about the rear hatch spoiler ( not the M performance spoiler strip ) should have been wrapped to continue the flow ad keep the M performance spoiler black.

If you wrap the antenna would there be some negative affects to the reception?
Maybe something to consider.
