Removing Stargard security system
This contraption taps (the black device ziptied to the wire loom) into a red and brown wire with what appears to be two aligator clips. I have no use for it as I declined the service when we bought the car, but I'm sure the dealer can track us not to mention that it is a drain on the battery.
Is it safe to unplug the two wires without disabling our car? I could not find any instructions or information about this device and this has to be legal since we paid off the loan shortly after we purchased the car and don't want to volunteer our location information. |

I just bought our 2020 program car yesterday. I too want to remove this. Was the unit in the pass rear compartment?
Thanks for posting this. I got a $1200 credit but they wouldn’t remove it. They told me it wasn’t worth their labor rate to do so.

All I had to do was to unplug the cable coming from the fuse box from the device, it has a connector that can be easily unplugged, then just taped the remaining cable to one of the wire looms. |

Thanks PonyTuning.
I'll post after investigating...
