Reset the short-circuit lock-out in DBC
Hello Guys:
Newbie here, I had a license plate light go bad on my 2015 X5 replaced the bad LED lamp but the car still shows "license plate lamp malfunction" message Computer also had cut off the power to the lamps now. I scanned it with OBD II scanner and found a fault code dtc 80486 tried using ISTA+ to scan and found the same error, I don't know, how I can can clean or reset reset the short-circuit lock-out in the Body Domain Controller (BDC). Thanks. |

I have uploaded the ISTA troubleshooting instructions,
https://ibb.co/NycCWpy i'm stuck on step 3 as I cannot find a service function to clear reset the short circuit in BDC Any advice. Thanks. |

Not in front of the ISTA right now but should be somewhere under Vehicle Management-Service Functions-
You should follow test plan steps, it will take you to the right procedure. Also some info from TIS: Quote:

I checked all fuses, all good
can anyone share the Body Domain Controlled wiring diagram, trying to trace the feed wire from the BDC to the back. need to know what Pin feeds the license plate lamps,. |
