So just to be clear,

I purchase this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FU5MVI8..._pvAIAbQEQC4ZP from amazon, hook it up to the OBD outlet in the car. Then download this app on my iphone http://bimmercodeapp.com/index.php#adapter and I can pretty much code everything on that list?

One more question. I had my X5 coded the traditional way (with a laptop and cable). If I use this method to add on a few codes will it disable any existing codes? I'm not sure it's relevant question but was just curious if it overrides my current codes for some reason.

It shouldn't have any impact on any existing coding you've done unless you choose to change that existing coding.

So this allows you to code for free after buying the obd plug? So carly is pretty much a rip off then?

I am not 100% certain but I just ordered on amazon and will let you know when I receive it. I wanted to add a few things I didn't get to code before so for $20 bucks doesn't hurt to see.

You also have to purchase (unlock) the BimmerCode App. It is not free...

Unhappy

By using bimmercode, any one know how to disable the auto steering wheel movement (easy entry/exit) feature ?

Been trying to do it several times, but no success....

Why would you want to disable that?

Some people seem concerned it's going to burn out the motor that extends/retracts the wheel.

In BDC Body:

You have to set to AKTIV the following 2 lines:

BDC Body -- V_MAX_AKTIVER_EINSTIEG_AKTIV
BDC Body -- V_MAX_DEAKTIVIER_EINSTIEG_AKTIV

and the you have to check that

BDC Body -- V_MAX_AKTIVIERUNG_EINSTIEG
BDC Body -- V_MAX_DEAKTIVIER_EINSTIEG

are set to WERT_01.

I don't understand the point of having all these features in a car that are totally useful, just to disable them, especially this one. That's obviously just me though.

You'll understand it when, out of warranty, you'll find out that you need to replace the whole steering column.

How often have you heard of this happening?

Very often. It is a common issue. I've had it happen to me 4 times in 3 years. Column replaces twice.

Can anyone clarify if I enable the mirrors to fold on comfort lock that they open when unlocking or will they need to be manually activated?

If you already have a generic Bluetooth adapter, it may work with Bimmercode. In your phone BT settings just rename the adapter to V-LINK, and give it a try.
