Mysterious black sticker on my rear view mirror

Hi fellow bmw x5 owners,

I have a very odd and strange request to see if anyone would know what is the sticker/label for (pic attached).
I just realized the sticker/label after owning (second owner) for 3months.

Well it could be 2 things: either RFID tag that dealerships use or it could be that DEA is after you man. I think it's latter. Word of advise - burn the car, get rid of all evidence, delete all messages on this forum and burn phone and laptop. This never happened man. I'm going to delete this message too...

too late, I peeled it off and i think i hear sirens

I did go to BMW dealership recently due to some maintenance work (wipers and brake flush)

That looks like a sensor to have a garage door open.
A lot of buildings are switching to this type of set up instead of individual remotes. Unless the DEA did put it there....

Just an RFID...quick lubes, car dealerships, even parking garages starting to use (think toll booth EZTag/FastPass or something)...

Dealerships and quick lubes use them to instantly identify you as you pull up for service, pulls up your name, service history, what lubes you require, and so forth...

If you google that Alien RFID, you should see the vendor has been the provider for that services for years. Lots of dealers and garages use that to track the vehicles.

Since you're in NY, I'm wondering who is using it...
