Shifting into D?

Hello all and happy Holidays....Question: Is it normal to feel a little plop when shifting into Drive because I cant feel anything when shifting from Drive or Neutral to Reverse? Haven't had this X5 very long and I don't remember feeling it when I first test drove it! Thanks, Sarge
