STOLEN LBB X6M plate PB7BP - Miami Beach
Hi community,
My X6M was stolen from my parking lot last night in Miami Beach between 7:00 pm and 9:30 PM Sunday March 11. It is Long Beach Blue with Yellow Calipers Florida plates PB7BP running two separate set of wheels (Vossen HF2 gun metal on the left side and Black Vossen HF1 on the right). If seen please pm here or my instagram account @idgarage Thank you, |

Damn! Sorry to hear that! Any cameras covering the lot? How did it even get stolen? It's a huge and high-tech vehicle to steal. Is there no tracking system on it? You sure it wasn't towed by a legit company and they have it in their lot somewhere?

There is a vehicle locate feature. Providing it was enabled BMW/RSA should be able to locate the vehicle if these individuals did not remove both batteries to disable all the features however it is most likely ditched in a desolate area after being beaten on. Lastly, I wouldn't hurry to help them locate the vehicle since I would not want a stolen vehicle back in my possession. You're better off filing the claim and taking the complete loss and then moving on to something new or different.

OMG, sorry to hear that.
Seems like a professional. If it over 1 hour, forget it. The car is already torn apart in pieces.

I was tracking the car since last night with BMW. Once reported stolen they wouldn't provide me with a physical address, know from the officers the car drove 150 miles north and ended back 10 blocks from my house.
I was able to locate this morning with the BMW Mobile App and call the cops as I was waiting on the line to let them know I found it I got a call from an officer who found it in a parking lot. Car was perfectly park, wheels are the only thing that are barely damage, Thankfully it did not have my Forged set on, but some demo wheels for pictures, the car is perfect surprisingly. It seems as it was just used to travel couple of hours north and back. Thank to everyone for the advice!! |

The bmw connected app can tell you where the car is unless they've already unplugged whatever sensor or gps that goes off. The longer you wait the less likely you are to be able to get an actual location. Open the connected app and use the find vehicle feature to see what it says.

Note BMW App won't locate the car while it is on. Only BMW can. |

glad you got it back !..
With all the "keyless" based thefts of BMW's in the UK these days, the best thing is to buy a steering lock!, nasty and hassle yes...but usually enough to deter a thief, especially one thats using a signal transmitter to remotely unlock and drive away! |

I'm no expert but I'd recommend getting layered protection.
I have outside cameras on 24/7, cellular based burglar alarm inside with motion, and motion cameras inside the home that save to the cloud, of course get backup ups. Oh and 2 little dogs that bark like Dobermans.

Glad that you got the car back. Absolutely terrifying and disgusting to know someone infiltrated into your home and stole your possessions. My X5 got broken into a couple of months ago, and the thoughts of it still linger in my mind.
Some good ideas thrown out there by members: home security, steering lock...
