Last tank on my 35i was 22.9 mpg (divided miles by gas at fill-up; car reported mpg at 21.9)
~2,000 miles on odo, 50-50 city/highway, 90% eco pro mode, highway speed around 70 mph |

Give it time, your motor is still very green. You might not be getting peak MPGs till 10k miles into the motor (I'm not implying you'll always see 50% of published MPG till 10k, but in general motors wear in and loosen up a bit). Also, like Mrv99 said, you are coming from an X5M. Your brain is probably trying to get the same feel as it had in the M so you may be pushing the car harder to try and get that same feeling, thus lowering your MPGs.
Anyway, it will get better over time. We have 2 N55 equipped BMWs now and they have both gotten higher than publsihed MPGs on longer drives which is pretty impressive in my book. |
