Exposed Wires
Hi.
I was checking tyre pressures today and noticed on both the front wheel arches exposed wiring....is this normal? Never seen it before and don't recall seeing it on my E70. Has anyone else noticed this? Any idea what its connected to that could fail if it comes loose/severed? |

My E70 also has exposed wires just like your F15. I have Adaptive Drive (Dynamic Handling Package). May be exposed wires has something to do with fancy suspension?

Is it the same both sides?
I don't have the M-Sport and have nothing quite like you are seeing there but assuming the pictures are of the front passenger side then there is a sensor of some kind connected through a series of small ball joints and connecting rods to the side of the top strut piece with some cabling going to it but it is very neat and tucked out of the way. |

Mine also has this exposed wires and I have adaptive M suspension, so it might be related.
Hopefully this won't be a early failure point. Seems pretty solid and not going anywhere. |

I have them too. I don't have M suspension but I do have Professional Adaptive Suspension package - 2VM + ZD. Must be related in some way.
I think the worrying thing is the exposed wiring that's not wrapped in the rubber casing. I guess time will tell. |

Road salt in north east would probably eat through those unwrapped wires pretty fast especially if the area gets hot (I can't imagine it staying cool on long rides)
