Code:
C:\Data\psdzdata\extLibs
C:\Data\psdzdata\kiswb
C:\Data\psdzdata\mainseries
C:\Data\psdzdata\mapping

Thanks very much! Rearranged file directory structure and now am connecting fine. First coding planned for tomorrow.

Coding issue

Trying to code 2016 X5 35i. I keep getting errors when I try to read svt or code the ecu for VO coding. I even tried to FDL code and kept errors. Maybe not the best pics...maybe my coding software too old? I have coded other vehicles with no issues. Please help...

Coolmex, read the above threads. That answer lies within with pictures. Lol. You were supposed to read the ECU not SVT. Good luck my friend.

cafd_000017be.caf.052_010_111 is found in Psdzdata 3.59.5 or later. For a F15, read ECU.

I did read the ECU. That's the message I received after I right click on the folder and clicked on code HU NBT.

Cannot get a connection via VIN using Win7 and E-Sys 3.28.1

Instructions say:
21) Wait a few minutes until the Laptop Windows wired network adapter icon shows a Connection with the yellow exclamation point over it.

Is this valid for Win 7? I can click on my network icon in the task bar and when I plug in the ethernet cable to the PC I can see that it detects it, and then reports "Unidentified network, No network Access" for a brief second or so, and then disappears., but no yellow exclamation mark?

Don't worry about Exclamation Point. In your Connection Window, are the Connection Targets present or is window empty?

Assuming the attached is the Connection window (I just snipped from another post as dont have my laptop in front of me now)... Mine looks the same as this, except the Target window has all the model options as per the data directory..

This is exclamation mark:

You may not see it if you have wifi enabled. You can also right click system tray icon and bring up network and sharing center to check you have fallback ip (169.x.x.x).

The reason image you posted has no targets is their psdzdata is either not installed or extracted incorrect.

For proper connection:
1) Make sure motor is running if car is not on a Charger.
2) Make sure to disable third party antivirus and firewall programs (eg, Kaspersky)
3) Make sure LAN Adapter is set for DHCP and not using a Static IP.
4) The Target Connection Window should not be blank (It should show multiple target connections for different chassis')

Ok, if Target Window has models, then PSdZData install is good. It is most likely ENET Cable or Windows Networking issue.

I was hoping someone could help me out with this.

I have a '17 x5 that I coded for the fob to close all sidemirrors and windows etc.

For some reason when i press unlock, the side mirrors dont open back up again automatically. Is there a separate code for this?? On the F10 my friend has he needed no extra code :T

So I have attached the actual screenshot from my connection to my X5 now.
As you can see the data files all appear to be there, and the wee yellow exclamation mark is there is well.
I did have the engine running so battery voltage should be ok.
Is there any networking settings I should be checking?

I did use the cable and laptop previously with E-Sys v3.24.3 to successfully code this same vehicle, however after a recent service the dealer did a major software update on the vehicle and wiped my coding. When I tried to code using the 3.24.3 version I had the same problem, I couldnt connect via Vin so thought that maybe my old version was no longer compatible.

No special network settings.

You could check cable to make sure nothing is bent.

Great! I'll try that tomorrow on our F15.

Thanks.
