MSRP is approx. $84k

Dealer is offering $4k off plus a $1.5k incentive I get for a total of $5.5 off MSRP (6.5% off). Right now I'm working on getting more in the range of 7.5%+.

Comments on the offer and any negotiating tactics would be appreciated. Also, do you know if incentives come up later when I take delivery whether those would get stacked on? (I am ordering the truck).

Thanks in advance.
Push to get atleast 7% off MSRP plus whatever incentives are available. Since its a 2017, most dealers might wanna do $500 above invoice which is about 7%. Also if other incentives comes out before you take delivery, those can be applied also.

2016 X5 xDrive 35i, xLine, space gray, 20" tires y spoke wheels, canberra Beige, drivers assist package, premium package, third row, comfort seats...we wished it was diesel, but we couldn't pass the deal. It is a demo...so has couple thousand miles, but the paint and leather look brand new...no stains or scratches.

MRSP $66850
Price: $54,900
I am going to have to throw winter tires on immediately when I pick her up on Friday, so that's an additional expense. Overall, it's one of the best deals I've seen.

Where are y'all getting .9 for 72? Bmwusa says 2.9 for 72. I want free money too!

The 0.9% ended in October. It's now back to 2.9%.

Yeah, that has all the sales people scratching their heads. Usually the deals get sweeter in Nov & Dec. We went and got pre-approved with the understanding if the rate went down we'd get the better rate. Who would have guessed it would jump TWO points!

I ordered the car in October and got 0.9%. Initially I was OK'ed for the Loyalty incentive, but now am being told that Loyalty only applies to leases. Is that true?

That's a decent discount from msrp in MN, the rest of the numbers are rarely negotiable with a lease.

Sounds like a great deal. Can you let me know what dealer in SoCal area? I have talked to multiple dealers here and not getting anywhere close to this. I want to Factory Order as well and I did manage to get 6.5% off of MSRP in Ontario, but even that is not confirmed now. Your deal is about 8.8% off of MSRP? I'm leaning towards leasing though.

You can definitely get another $1,000 or $2,000 on the discount, otherwise it looks solid. Good luck!

I found an x35i with the upgrades I am looking for at a BMW dealership in Modesto, CA, 50 miles from my local area. The sales guy wants me to come in and speak with him as I feel he is hesistant to provide me with exact numbers to what the dealership is selling the car for. He says that he would make my trip worthwhile if I came in to the dealership to speak with him. From your buying experience, do the dealerships give you lower cost numbers if you came into the dealership as opposed to speaking price over the phone? I'm new to the bimmer industry and first time car buyer. Thanks guys!

In a word...NO. They want you to come in because it gets you invested. Tell him you will come in to pick up the car once you agree on the price. If you have already test driven a car and understand the options / features. Let the sales person know that you have done all your research and that you are interested in that particular stock number and tell him what you are willing to pay. Then let the games begin.

I did 100% of my negotiating through email. Car price AND FEES!
