But again, it is a dealership.
I think I remember few of the members got charged between 500-800 on the labor.
While the MPBK usually goes around $2400 these days.
My X6 only has 15,000 miles, in the warranty period no one except a BMW dealer is touching my vehicle. If anything were to happen I have a direct line back to corporate BMW, no finger pointing or laying blame on someone else.
The cost is the cost.

Forgot to mention that that was prices installed by BMW dealership.
That's why shop like us can't compete with dealership anymore on OEM parts.

I was wondering is it even worth installing MPBK on a x5? No one I know or read on forums tracks x5. Not even x5m guys track it, like very rarely. So basically isn't it thrown out money $3k+ for nothing? I'm sure there's no difference, at least noticeable for daily usage

It is very noticeable on daily use.
I personally never likes BMW stock brakes. It doesn't bite as much.
But if you are worry more on the stopping power than looks, there are other cheaper solution for it, an aftermarket brake pad set.

Did mine purely for aesthetics. Never seen a track. Never will.

Paid $2400 for the kit, $950 for F85 rotors, $400 to refinish in yellow, $800 to install including new brake lines and flush. Still a helluva lot cheaper than the brembo GTs.

That's $4550 just for brakes aesthetics! It does look damn good!
