Front Tint Match (Hue, not %)

Hey guys, looking to tint my F15. As always with SUVs with rear factory tinted windows it's not easy to get a color match up front. It often looks too green or blue etc. Took me a few tries on my old Q5 but finally got it right with Formula One Pinnacle. Hoping to do it once this time.

What brand of tint did you use to get the best color match on the front window?

That was exactly my plan and what I used on my prior car. My next issue is % match which I'm big on. My 2014 meters 18% factory rears. The lightest my shop offers is Pinnacle 50 (55% VLT) so I'd meter 10% on the rears. I want tint on rears for UV protection and glass shatter safety. F1 like most brands jump from 20ish to 5. If I did the F1 Pinnacle 15 (19% VLT) on the fronts it would read around 16/17% after application which is close, but would like closer. Also the front typically looks lighter with all the light coming in through the windshield. What is your setup front/rear?

I did Pinnacle 15 all around...going back soon the get pinnacle 50 on the pano sunroof...and haven't decide to do air 80 on windshield or pinnacle 50.

The 15 on the fronts does look a little lighter than the backs with 15 with the sunroof shade open light coming in from windshield

I just got my F15 tinted 2 weeks ago. I told the installer I want effectively what is a 15% darkness but the color MUST match perfectly. I stressed it to him very much. The combination I got came out 110% perfect I could not be happier

Front windshield is a LLumar CTX @50%
Front two side windows also LLumar CTX @15%
And rear windows/hatch are a LLumar AirBlue80% over the factory tinted glass.

The color match is absolutely perfect outside and INSIDE!

Looks so good! So jealous you can tint the front windshield where you are. Even with my medical waiver I can't do windshield. They film all inspection stickers in MA now so you can't even get a buddy to help anymore. That makes the front windows look so much darker.

Did you happen to see if your rears were 18% stock as well? Air80 would get you to just about 15% and you'd be around 17%ish on the fronts (just based on how mine went) which the human eye couldn't tell the difference so you're golden.

Interesting the three places I'd consider using near me for Llumar brand only carry ATR, F1 Pinnacle, and Stratos. Maybe since they carry F1 Pinnacle which is ceramic it's kind of duplicative to carry another ceramic (CTX).

Do you mean you did F1 Pinnacle 15 on every window? If so what did the rears meter? If yours were the same as mine you'd be at 3% (18% stock VLT plus 19% VLT for F1 Pinnacle 15 = 3.4%). That's limo shade. Maybe your rears weren't tinted?

I haven't measured them. But the rears were factory colored or tinted. They are dark but I have no issues seeing out of them.
