MPE

I just went to the shop to check out repairing status of my car and saw they finished installing MPE. I asked if they could fire her up.
Oh damn, does she sound gorgeous.
Maybe because it was a cold start, but I came a little.
He blipped the throttle and it burped and crackled.
That was it. I was done.

I was thinking of going to Cayenne because of PSE, but after hearing MPE, wow, no need to go anywhere. It was quite loud with character.
I can't wait to get her back.

Yes, MPE is very balanced exhaust IMHO - it sounds as good as it gets on 35i

I feel it lacks a little bit in volume, maybe thats the f15 being so isolated.

How much did the MPE cost you in time and money? Im looking into doing that and the MPPK.

MPPK and MPE combo is my favorite mod on the car, sounds awesome! Just you wait after 2000 miles or so, it gets louder. Best thing is the sound isn't obtrusive when you want to just cruise.

It was part of the repair for my rear end accident so it was a free upgrade for me. I know shop got the MPE for $1,350 but not sure how much it would be to getting it installed.

I know! I never believed in OEM upgrades but now I'm a believer.

Yeah, I feel you, but that's always a fine balance between outside volume that sometimes may get too much and inside volume for driver - that is often not enough. Also, different moods can affect how you perceive MPE - often you want more, but on other days you are glad it's civilized and not like your neighbors Honda fart can

Back in e90 we could delete secondary cats and volume increased by 20% - was just perfect for those who had MPE and wanted a bit more volume. If 35i has secondary cats (not sure) then that's one easy option (you'll still have primaries so no issues with emissions)

I think you right about balance. However a 20% more would have been perfect. Most of the time people don't even realize I have a performance exhaust unless I open the windows and give it some go, which is sad.

Regarding the 35i exhaust system it is a straight pipe from the muffler on, thats what I heard here and saw while witnessing the MPE install.
