Buying a CPO - feedback on a vehicle I found

Folks - found the ideal CPO for my wife; would really appreciate feedback on the dealer price and what is a fair counter offer:

Many thanks.

When looking in 1,000 mile radius, what are similar models going for?

It's nicely loaded, but IMHO no need for 50i if it's for your wife. Save the money and go for similarly loaded one, but 35i or 35d if you want to try diesel. My logic is that 99.99% your wife won't use 50i power and will drive like any other 35i will. Unless you want 50i specifically and she wants it too - then yes

I think it's a well optioned vehicle at a fair price, although I am surprised it doesn't have Napa leather, considering all the other options. They are offering it for a couple hundred less than NADA value, however NADA does not take into account all the options. I would offer a bit less, of course, but at the end of the day, I would be willing to pay asking price if this vehicle is equipped the way you want it. I would consider wheel and tire insurance and you will want to make sure the maintenance plan transfers.

+1 agree; wife does not care and this will be her daily driver. I gravitated to this car for the ideal color/options. I'll continue to look but may jump on it if the dealer is willing to negotiate.

Rotzy - thank you for your input on the price being fair.

If the wife doesn't care about the power, she is going to absolutely hate the fuel economy!

I recently discovered how much mpg 50i has at full throttle mode - it's 6 mpg! Of course that only stays there briefly during pedal to the metal acceleration, but it still can put to shame some Hummer or light duty Caterpillar excavator

I just bought what is probably a similar MSRP car, brand new, for $76.5. Not sure I’d buy a CPO for $7k less.
