Just ordered the wife a new 2015 X5D. Anyone in Texas get more than $1000 off?

Live in Dallas. Trading our 2012 X5D in for a custom ordered 2015 BMW X5d. It will be mineral white, m sport, mocha design, ceramic controls, 3rd row, luxury seating, led lights, executive pack, 20 inch wheels, driver assistance plus, rear seat entertainment, bang and olufsen. Pretty much loaded except for night vision and Acc. Checked with 3 dealers (Arlington, BMW Dalllas, BMW N Houston) and all I could get was $1000 off MSRP. These things are in high demand here in Texas I guess and they don't want to take a build slot for a lesser deal. Anyone in my area get a better deal? I just placed the order 2 days ago so could technically switch, but wanted to make sure I wasn't getting ripped off. My wife's 2012 x5 we got for $1000 over invoice, but it wasn't a hot new model. Also have to factor in trade. Moritz offered $32k and BMW Dallas $34k.

Seems pretty crappy to me, but perhaps that is just your area as you stated. My dealer is going to let me order a 35d at invoice price, but that is because we have bought several vehicles from that dealer network the last few years.

You always have the option to do PCD if you like. There are many dealers who are offering close to invoice.

not worth it for me for a few thousand. I am too busy with work and the kids, but good idea regardless

I guess you can order from other dealers from neighbouring states even if you dont cosider PCD, but I may be wrong on that.

Your build looks awesome, but you should really consider ACC. It's one of my fav features in the truck, it's awesome. Its great in traffic, great on the highway, and even great just cruising down a country road following another car. I'd never order another BMW without it.

Have you ever felt the need to override the ACC in any situations?

Simple answer, no. At long as it's "locked on" (which it will tell you), I've never had to override. The only time I touch the gas/brake is when approaching a red light and there's no car in front of me. And, you really need to keep in mind that it won't stop at lights! Because it will very quickly lull you into "the car has it".

I called Houston North. Same deal. Couldn't beat $1000 off

Ha, that's funny and an unintended consequence. I could totally see myself forgetting to stop at red lights!

Try BMW of Austin. I did better there on a 50i.

I got $1,500 over invoice+lease payment on my old X3 here in Austin. That was a 2014 though. Signed the deal on 4/30; took 2 emails to get that deal! My price was about $2K lower than what truecar showed for this area, so they definitely aren't doing many deals here in TX.

Not sure if you can swing those kinds of deals on 2015s yet...

Coming from 2014 X3 i can tell you x5 is in a completely different category in term of demand. Supply has hard time keeping up.

I got about $4000 off of MSRP $69175 for my X5 from BMW Dallas. This was ordered in February and arrived in March.

If you're getting the new 2015 update F15, I'd be happy paying the extra; personally after signing the deal I wouldn't think about what others may or may not have paid, it would only do my head in! Rather, I'd enjoy the anticipation of getting a brand new X5, and then when I received it, relish the great experience !

Thx deepblonde. I asked the question when I could still cancel the order. It's almost built now and getting excited, even if it is for my wife! I don't have any regrets. I called 5 different dealerships. No one could do lower than $1000 off MSRP for a new order 2015.

Different region, but for comparison, I got $2,300 off MRSP. Signed on May 23rd, 2014. Dealer also threw in all weather mats, rubber cargo mat, M Performance kidneys, and a $500 parts credit. Fair deal in my eyes.
