New shoes..and socks.
Got me some new shoes and socks for my X5.
AC Schnitzer Type V 22". 4.5 spacers all around. Pirelli 295/30/22 Scorpion ZeroA in the front, and 335/25/22 PZero in the rear. The ride quality has minimally changed. I was a bit worried that it would be significantly harsher...but not the case at all. In addition to theses wheels, I have Burger Stage 1 Tuner, intake, and M Brakes. I wasn't going to lower my X5, but after installing these wheel, I think lowering it slightly will close the wheel well gaps a little and give it a symmetrical look all around. Thoughts? Z. |

Congrats Z. The ACS wheels look great . It's hard to tell if your wheel well gap is too much from the pictures. Can you take a direct side picture in better lighting? Slight lowering might look good if the gap is too much, which is surprising considering you have 22s.

Here's a direct side shot. I know you asked for better lighting, but it's a bit overcast today and can't get a great shot. I'll post another when the weather's better. Z. P.S. Regarding the "Grille" thread, didn't see your post prior to replying. If I did, I might have refrained. |

@Zipforia, thanks for the pic. I figured the weather would be that way. I think it honestly looks good. The only reason I would even consider lowering at this point is to reduce body roll if you are feeling it with the increased height from the 22s.
Regarding the grill thread, thanks for the consideration. He replied further, but I hope you let it go because it's pointless. From what I know about you, you've been a very respectful/helpful member here, and I appreciate that. Thanks . |

That looks awesome!! Nice job, I chickened out at the last minute and cancelled my ac wheels as I though the car would need lowering but you've shown it doesn't. Nice, I'll have to stick with my 599's

Also, Z, if you don't mind, can you keep this thread updated about how the wheels/ride handle over rough road, etc? I'd really appreciate it. I'm still considering if my next tires should be 295/30R22 or to keep sticking with 285/35R22. So far, my 285/35R22 setup has been treating me really well for speed, random roads with some big dips, and overall grip to the road. I honestly haven't noticed much difference at all in comparison to the 19" setup for ride quality - just a tad higher.
The car definitely looks amazing at night under good lights. I think that's the best time to take shots of our 22" rims. The way the car shines is truly amazing. I just wish I had a camera as nice as atomic80 to capture the effects. I have a 16.2MP Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and my 13MP Note 3. Do you or anyone have any suggestions on good effects or filters to make the pictures look anything close to professional without using a DSLR camera? Thanks . Also, I just recently used the side bolsters of my MC seats to create a bucket seat like effect to avoid my body moving on tight corners - it feels solid.

I took my pics with Sony Alpha 5 and Carl Zeiss lens. By no means do I consider myself a photographer....but I think these pics came out ok, considering the weather. I have no idea on filter and stuff. I think Atomic is your man on this topic. I have MC seats too. Love'em. Z. |

It looks terrific! Great choice.
Personally I wouldn't lower it.

They look great with the larger blue brakes. As mentioned before, please update on on road quality as you have the chance to drive it around.
Regarding "Justin Bieber" on the other post, not worthy to pursue insanity. Just last night, sadly, a college kid shot a whole bunch of UCSB people because he couldn't get laid. Seriously, there are a lot of lunatics out there. No point engaging with. |

Z, quick question about the M Performance breaks. Are the caliphers only blue for the front? Does it cost more or even possible to have them for the back as well? Ben's Brembo brakes (yellow) are front and back. Thanks.
Also, props to you for setting up these meets. It's a great way to learn more, see great cars, and make new friends. I'd come if I didn't live about 2700+ miles away, haha .
