that should have been done so long ago... with all those people driving with their high-beams on blinding oncoming traffic... if they all had smart high-beams we wouldn't have to squint while driving... lol

Yes, just hasn't been legal in the US.

Now the issue will be will the dealer re-code it, & how much $$$ or will those of us with cars de-coded at build have to do it with BimmerCode or remote coding

If you want anti-dazzle I'd suggest working with SaNGRia and he can remote code it for a lot less than what BMW would ever offer. I doubt BMW will even "retro" code our older BMW.

BimmerCode can't do it. Requires different software.

I'm in Canada and have done the anti-dazzle and VLD re-coding on my '15 X5 35d LEDs (as in Europe) and it's awesome. I drove home last night in modest traffic from Toronto and not one person flashed me - the high beam mainly illuminates the roadway signs when traffic is around but it indeed works well. Such a great feature - glad it's legal in the US now. I actually don't know if it's legal in Canada or not but frankly don't care. No reason not to do it if you're in the US now. Enjoy!
