Nothing wrong if so, since RC is very known (established in Europe) and respected.

Can you post more pics of the module?

Thanks

Hey Rob,

Casing wise a few people have something similar. Ours is out of Germany and I know Akra uses something similar. Not familiar with RC besides what I have seen here and I have enquired with friends in overseas as well. The casing quality is really good and sealing is solid so we went with it (you would be surprised the testing they provide when choosing these cases).

I know the Velos Tuner looks great and should be solid.

RC, I have nothing but great feedback for it. There are so many users that use it from 28, 35, 35d, 50i and its great to see the module they also use being used in other platform like Velos for the M engine. Simple plug'n'play install, offers smoother drivability than other similar system.

Are there options/settings to increase/decrease the Unit ?

Hey Rob,

The connectors / plugs are very simiiar for the BMW platforms and a few others. This will allow you to communicate. There are options on the inside that allow you to rotate the dials to select different 'mappings' but we do not allow the end user to make those adjustments under normal conditions. We also only offer this for platforms that we are able to test thoroughly, this allows you to maximize the potential and also find the vehicles limits. There are a few M3/M4 conditions where we have allowed the end user to choose between maps but as of right now I do not see a purpose on the X5M. We believe firmly the consumer wants something that works well and is headache free. Congrats on the F85 btw, I know you had a previous gen X5M and it is cool to see you sticking with the brand.

Like always if I can help with anything , modifications, etc please do not hesitate to call / email.

Best Regards,

Hey,

Conditions are a bit cooler but the actual gains will remain the same. A slight increase to be had but the ball park will remain the same since the before and after were done the same day without any adapting time. Will send a PM as well.

Cheers

Hey Rob,

A few have gone out via the forums and several E70 return clients but non that I know of. We provided a dyno from a few months ago and no 1/4 time. Looking forward to taking our '16 X5M once we complete the build and tune ECU's. Ultimately that will provide the larger gains similiar to our previous gen. If anyone is interested let us know.

p.s. Any memebrs running this that dont mind chiming in please do and comment on instructions as well.

Best,

Anybody using this on an F85 X5M ?

Looks like it intercepts the two Tmap sensors. Where does it get the rpm signal ?

Is it true this device is just a white label unit that you apply your own maps + logo sticker to? Or did you develop the hardware as well?

Sorry I missed this.

The only thing readily available is the actual casing. Used by a few people. Inside of the unit you are able to load different information that we adjust vehicle specific.

Our other solution is tuning the actual factory ECU's which we are able to do along with step by step instructions on removing the ECU's yourself.

+1 also seeing the Dyno graphs are showing Smoothing 3, not Smoothing 5

We have step by step instructions available once ordered. Please email me directly at omar@velosdesignwerks.com and I will send it to you. Max Boost gains are roughly 2-2.5 psi.

Thanks Rob, will try to get a better read next time we tap in but the signal was a bit choppy. As far as "smoothing" goes. It's arbitrary. 0 = noisier, 5 = less variance charted. Think of 0 as "raw" and 5 as "normalized".

Agreed, sorry for the misunderstanding.

We are also available via phone 5 days a week if anyone is more comfortable discussing via phone.
