Steering wheel not going up and down

Well as I was driving my car I realized the steering felt a little off, tried to move it down and all I hear is a clicking noise. It still telescopes, but no movement up/down , it sits as high as it goes. I'm not gonna lie, as much as I love the x5, I feel like this car is the most problematic car I've ever
Owned. I've read on here that it's the steering column, and with it being out of warranty it's close to a 3k fix which is crazy, but I guess this is the life i chose lol

Mine goes up and down but not in and out. Can hear the motor turning, just not moving the wheel.
Still have the added on extended warranty. That replacement justifies getting the extra 2years.

Thank u and yes I found all these articles which led me
To believe it's the steering column, this was more of a ventilation post and wanted to share my frustration. With fellow f15 owners
