Replacing a defective 10.25" Info Screen
Hi, so my friend just purchased a used 2015 X6 from a local auction.. He tells me the 10.25" display screen in it has an indentation like someone pressed very hard on it.. He wants to swap it out for a used one from a similar model that has the same 10.25" screen.. Does he have to do any reprogramming or coding to be recognized or is it just a simple plug n play swap? Thank you.

If the original screen has touch control and he buys the NBT screen - so without touch screen, it will not work. Same if he buys a EVO screen for his NBT HU.

2015 X6 is NBT. Tell your friend to look into an Android 10.25 screen. They're everywhere online, cheaper than OEM and get way more for your dollar.
Also keep the old screen and put it back in when and if he decides to get rid of the car. Just what I would do. |
