The ETK system is notoriously vague on certain items. Definitely post photos when you get yours, it will be interesting if BMW has changed the rim. They typically do not for a model, until the next model comes out. |

Hey guys. Jimmy here with Signature Wheel. We specialize in uncompromising lightweight and strong 100% forged JWL approved wheels for nearly the price of OEM or rotary/flow formed wheels.
About Us: We realized the wheel market is getting saturated with many wheel companies and options. As car enthusiasts, you either have to choose price over quality or quality over price. If you choose custom wheels, that usually means long wait and unpredictability. We found that you "can" have uncompromising high quality wheels at a lower price point and the wait time is 5 weeks from placing the order to your door step, no exceptions. I'm going to put together an ideal winter wheel setup for the X5/X6, especially X5M and X6M platform. The SV101 below would look great on the X5/X6. Based on my personal experience with the F85 X5M, here's the recommendation: Front: 20x10 275/40/20 (Signature Offset) 21lbs Rear: 20x11 315/35/20 (Signature Offset) 23lbs Unless you live in mountainous regions, my personal experience is DWS06 tires are more than enough for the xDrive. Please PM me for pricing. Jason is validating my commercial account so PM should be ready later today. http://www.signaturewheel.com/

These are not run flats, although I think Pirelli makes them in a run-flat version.

Winter Wheels
I went all last winter with the stock 21" and never had an issue once.
Now, with that said, I was never out in the actual snow and always waited till the roads were clear and can drive my Ford Raptor when it gets really bad out. Again, with all that said, I would NOT recommend this to anyone as I've been out with 20" M-Sport wheels and Tires in the past on just semi-black ice covered roads and that was enough to scare the heck out of me. If you have 20" wheels, look at going with the DWS06 tires as those seems to be really great in the snow and the BMW X-Drive system is fantastic. All of my previous X5's had the Michelin 255/50/19's on them and never once did I or the Wife ever feel 'unsafe' on bad roads and these were driven through some pretty rough Chicago winters!! Just my personal opinion but the X-Drive system, taking your time and having a good A/S tire has always worked great for us. I'm again here at this time of year trying to decide what to do with the X5M and these 21" tires and been thinking of going with the BMW 20" factory Orbit Gray winter set. I really wish someone would make a decent tire, either a DWS06 or even a full winter Blizzak in the 21" size that is factory on the X5M/X6M. In my experience, you get the snow/rain/ice (bad roads) and then they are out and have them plowed and salted not long after, so in my particular case and with driving on the expressway which is usually clear due to all the traffic, spending $4K is allot of money. But then again, I'm cheap...

saying that my evo ix is super duper in the snow . rally cars for you . you never know what can be round the corner . weve seen crazy freak snow storms in the last few years in places. just nice to know what can be done , if and when needed ;-) |

I don't commute and when I do travel, it's largely on highways. Nevertheless, I've swapped out my P-Zeros for DWS06. Quite reasonable at ~$1300 installed from a local tire chain and will be much more capable in colder temps/occasional frozen precipitation. |

I do snows for any car that gets daily status. While you can get by with all season or something else, you have no where near the control that dedicated snow tires give you. X-drive may get you going, but it won't do much in turns and certainly doesn't help you stop. Turning and stopping is when it matters most - that's when someone pulls some dumb maneuver in front of you and avoidance is key.
If anyone wants to try a cheap set of 19" from my E70, I have a set for sale btw. |

I am selling my 1 year original winter wheel and tire package for 2016 X5M - Style 611M (20") and tires are Pirelli Scorpion Winter 285/40R20Y.
These were direct from BMW and used it last winter only December to March and had 1100-1200 miles approx. They are in brand new condition and stored at my local BMW dealership in Columbus, OH. I am getting ready to put a deposit on a new 2017 Range Rover RVAutobiography Dynamic, so selling these winter wheeling tire package. I don't want to use them this winter and want to keep them in brand new condition. If anyone is interested and willing to pick from my local BMW dealership in Columbus, OH, pm me. I'll cut you a good deal. No shipping or delivery. Thanks !
