The new one?
There is a brand new P Zero since few months ago, I don't think that anyone on the forum had a chance to try it, but all reviews are fantastic. http://gtspirit.com/2016/04/12/speci...ril-racetrack/ |

I ordered my X5M (delivering tomorrow!) with the 20" rim/tires. I tried to purchase the 21" with MPSS on them as a 2nd set and was told yesterday the Michelin is backordered till the end of October and that Dunlop's were the suggested tire. I decided not to purchase the tire/rims as the summer tires would need to be coming off of the vehicle around that time. Catonsville BMW in Maryland.

I had to get a tire replaced (screw) and it took 3 weeks. Was told by the dealer that the tire is in demand, has low inventory and Michelin shut down the plant (don't know the reason; could be vacation or maintenance) which didn't help the situation. Don't think they are stopping production, just low supply.

Ordered MPSS 2 month ago as my first set is done (around 35000 km...) - got it delivered 2 weeks ago - so I don't think that there is any issue getting them...

I just took delivery of my 2017 X5M in Seattle. I got the 21 inch rims and they came with Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

No way they are putting run flats on our Ms!!! I hate run flats with passion, I swapped my brand new tires from my 2 750s with michelins right after I get them, the difference is night and day. With M stiff suspension, the run flat will be loud and feel like ride on rocks!! The happiest thing I got my X6M was it came with michelins :/

I had a sidewall nail puncture, MPSS was out of stock, bought a used MPSS on eBay for $240. I'm happy as a clam...
P.S. The used tire had a nail repair, but done at the refurbish shop so good as new. Probably tires from BMW dealership where they told people they can't repair nail punctures.

Just got the call that my new tires are in.
Of course this was 20 minutes AFTER they installed a used tire I had gotten off of eBay to tied me over until my back order was to be filled at the end of this month. Plan on keeping the best front and best rear in my garage as a just in case I get a puncture that can't be repaired and there's another back order. |

The Porsche Turbo S uses 21 " MPSS. Don't know about discontinuation, I'd be surprised as they're popular. I do know a lot of porsche guys were going with a new non run flat 21" all season option to avoid having 2 sets, and having good results from what I read. I would look into that before putting on run flats. they suck.

I actually found an almost new one on Ebay (eek!) from a solid seller so I just bought that one to keep me going for now. Hated to do that but am out of options. Can't wait until late December. This is the 3rd time they have moved the date for the rears. I recieved the front when the backorder fulfilled in early Oct.
