Finally added Akrapovic exhaust

So my fairly well modded LBB X5M with M performance parts and Dinan tune just got its exhaust. Overall well made, nice tone, but not as special as the version on my M6. Anyways here are some pics if anyone is interested

Beautiful! So how much louder this one compare to the stock exhaust?!im the minority, I like loud exhaust lol! Miss my Supra with 4 inch straight pipe, that almost sounds like a F1.

I feel the same way about my Akra - not as good as the one I put on my M5, but much better than before.

Also, it looks like you could push your tips in a little more. I have adjusted mine a good amount and have made them nearly flush to the rear diffuser (the stock one).

Slightly louder in normal driving, in sport plus when warm it has noticeable pops and burps, and a much meaner scream at 3000rpm. For the most part it is pretty civilized. Hopefully this weekend I can get my GoPro out and make some clips.

Do you have downpipes installed or not?

No downpipes. I had downpipes on my M6 and although the sound was amazing it was terribly loud. I am trying to keep this vehicle civilized even with catted downpipes they are loud. Lets see if AMS makes a set. I looked at the competition's downpipes and the jury is still out.

Akrapovic is the greatest. Never have had a customer not gush over the results after the install. What else do you have done to her?

WB I have the diffuser, all M Peformance parts, Dinan tune and upgraded air filters and painted parts from IND. I wasn't looking to modify it that much since it is a daily driver. And I agree wish the pipes were a bit higher, going to have my tech look into that.

Mine are the same way. It's just the way it mounts up. There is no way to raise it unless you were able to make a smaller extension on the metal bracket that mounts to the chassis from the muffler.
