Easy Exit Driver Seat coding

Soooo, after owning several cars (as old as 2002) that had an Easy Exit Driver Seat option, I kind of gotten used to it.

When I turn off my 2014 35i the seat does move back a couple mm and so does the steering wheel.

I would like it to go back all the way and down... and have the steering wheel go forwards and up all the way either at engine off or at door opening...

Does anyone know if this can be done?

I'm sure that it can being that the seat and steering wheel do move a little bit.

You can code that.

You can set move back distance as well as the restriction zone. Plus, coding can determine which axis moves first.

Lets just hope there isn't anyone sitting behind you when the seats squash them

That is for what the restriction zone is.

We went the simple "low-tech" route for my wife (she's 5'1" and likes the seat down low and back a bit for easier entry/exit).

Memory 1: Her normal setting
Memory 2: Her ingress/egress setting.

She just pushes memory button 2 when she shuts off the car, and memory button 1 when she gets back in.

I didn't realize it could be coded. I need to add that to the list of things I need to do.

I know some others that opted to use seat memory as well.

What is nice about coding is that you can set move back distance and restriction zone; but key is to do measurements and realize that any initial adjustments will cease movement. I forget whether last seat position should be selected or not but key profiles allow for different drivers.

Can anyone confirm this coding for the F15?

Am I the only one that actually doesn't like easy entry exit functionality? As far as I'm concerned one day I'm going to be somewhere my seat will be back all the way the steering wheel is stuck in the dash… and it stays that way.

Do it while you still have warranty, haha.

Does this coding also release the back bolsters as well? I could swore I've felt it with sport seats but I can't figure it out with my multi-contour ones.

If you are referring to the side bolsters, that is one aspect of the seats that I have not experienced any profile connection.

there is pinch protection on the seat. as soon as there is the smallest amount of impedance the seat goes back to the stored memory position. audi had pinch protection on their windows and seats going back to the B5 days, i've only see the newest models have it on the seats but they've had it on the windows for some time.

i have multicontour seats and the bolsters open to widest point upon exit and then go back to your settings when starting the vehicle.

Is there a setting or something I'm missing? That's really strange that my seats don't do it.

I don't know, it did it from day one for me. I never had to code this.

wouldn't it take too long waiting for the everything to go back to driving position?

the seats and steering wheel adjust faster than the cold start idle hunt/cat pre-heat stag is over. before the motor is even ready to be put in drive your seat adjustment is completed. if you drive off before the memory sequence is completed the system will stop and it will not go to your stored position. at that point you would have to get the adjustments done by holding down the 1 or 2 button.
