In the end its really what you want. but just do your research and don't over pay. The watch in your link seems reasonably priced for what it is.

EDIT:

One thing i noticed in the pics is the watch is missing a lot of links. Just make sure the watch comes with those so you can adjust accordingly..... Might bring the value down also if they are missing.
Thank you. Watch will be for my Pops. I'll keep an ehe out for a newer mode then.

I have an older SUB with a non ceramic bezel and a GMT Master II with the old bezel, the ceramic wins hands down for appearance

definitely see if you can compare the two side by side and see which one you like better. Good luck!

for me, the glidelock clasp was the deciding factor

it was the main reason i went with the SubC over a GMT/Explorer/16610

Ah that what the clasp is called. Either way its awesome and makes adjusting the watch so f**ing easy.

Some people hate on it, i have no idea why i really enjoy the glidelock

I never thought I would have the need for it... but it is honestly an incredible feature. Your wrist definitely does expand/contract depending on weather, activity, swimming, etc. Very cool feature on my GMT II!

What's the word on the ceramic Daytona??? Had a line on one for $15.5k, but still a massive premium on the list price. They told me the black face is even trading at lower prices than the white face. I'd probably even like to just get an older ss with a white face. I've plenty of other watches, but something just tells me the Daytona is the top of motorsports associated watches. I was thinking about a sub, but now only the Daytona. What are the views on relative prices these days? I even feel stupid paying $10k for a 10 year old watch when the new one retails for $12k.

I wanted the white dial ceramic last year but as you stated, from 16k euros overhere...way too high above list.

I wanted to order the 50th Aniversary SD yesterday at my AD, but came to the conclusion: 43mm and the cyclops...that's a no at the moment. Though the proportions on pictures(lugs, bracelet, dial/bezel) look almost perfect for a 2017 watch and imho way better than the Deepsea an clunky SubC(which I had both years ago already) . And that 3235 movement. 70h PR. Ball-beared rotor...So I stay with my discontinued 116600 A real SD without the cyclops and 40mm. Historically correct. Had an '08 16600, a pity I sold that one, countrycode 100, Germany.

below a bag of child's sweets famous overhere...

Cheers

It's most sought after Rolex model , I longed for ceramic bezel to be incorporated into stainless steel Daytona variants too . I have 116500 LN 002 dial , 001 refers to white dial .I wouldn't pay over premium for any product regardless of brand

Speaking of Rolex , they surprised me considering some minor tweaks for YM II model as well as two tone Sky Dweller .
Day Date remains only model that's available with gold and platinum

Surprised at the new Seadweller. A departure for Rolex. 40mm and no cyclops made the SD special and gave it an identity, it also showed how good Rolex engineering can be to maintain the size but offer more.
Now it really is a bigger Sub with red writing. The Deepsea is more special at 44mm, the red writing while a huge nod to heritage isn't enough to overlook the fad-ish/popular big watch craze flaws.
I'll look to pick up the older Seadweller which may now turn out to be a classic in 40 years(I'll be too old to care though)with its short production run unless Rolex plans to sell both.

Love most of Rolex's new debuts at Baselworld. The white gold-stainless Skydweller looks INCREDIBLE and I'm a fan of the new yacht-master II chronograph!

Sweet. Now that I've looked for them, I see they are asking another $2k+ for the white face. Quite the premium.

I very much doubt it, in the UK they go for 10% more than list if you want one right away without waiting, I would imagine the US isn't that much different.

Anyone in the midwest with a good AD to recommend?

Also, can I buy from Vancouver?

Guys, could you help clarify something for me?

The Rolex 16610LV has a black dial and green bezel, and the 116610LV has both green dial and green bezel, correct? I remember trying on a green rolex and the dial looked black from certain angles.
