Is there a way to disable mirror turndown in reverse?

I use my side mirrors when backing up and the right side mirror turning down when shifting into reverse makes it completely useless. Is there a way to disable that?

Yes, just move the mirror adjustment lever (driver door, little toggle Left/Right) to passenger side and it won't move, if it already moved, it will go back to "normal" view and you will be able to disable the curb assist adjustment (or whatever it is called nowadays).

PS: It should not make it completely useless, how low did you adjust your mirrors? Since the pass side is a convex (wider) you should still be able to see your immediate sides.

It will save the electric motor as well, hence I turn off as rarely street park even PDC is sufficient. Motors were malfunctioning in previous Lexus.

Electric motors is Soft Close Doors (SCD), I generally close with the sufficient push to not activate the motors, but not always perfect.

Yeah, that's actually what it's for, so you don't mess up your rims against the curb when parallel parking or whatever. But, yeah, just flip the swich over to passenger side and it won't do that anymore.
