You can change them to max brightness when headlights on but as DRL I think they're already at max value

Thanks! That's what i noticed, when you just unlock the car at night they are not nearly as bright as they were on my F10 M5!

Has anyone ever done business with bmwretrofit? Any Feedback?

I have retrofitted an NBT EVO / Carplay in my 2016 and they make an interesting GPS module to support this.

2/26 update: I ordered the GPS module and should have some feedback soon.

4/23 update: Box has been installed for a month and is working great. This is a nice way to retrofit an NBT EVO without going through the effort of wiring an ATM or CAN Filter.

Based on the number of DM's I received today, maybe I should go into business with this retrofit

For all those who asked what this takes:

You need significant experience with coding (e-sys) or someone to do this for you. This is way more involved than changing options and FDL coding as you need to change VIN, FSC codes and some other things in the NBT EVO.

From a hardware perspective, you need:
1) NBT EVO from 2017+ X5 or equivalent part number
2) Touch display from 2017+ X5
3) WiFi antenna for NBT EVO
4) FSC codes to enable CarPlay, Navigation and Voice control of new NBT.
5) ATM emulator (GPS) for NBT EVO (This is still work in progress until I receive parts. I have no working GPS at the moment as NBT EVO does not have embedded GPS like NBT). Carplay nav (Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps) works as GPS comes from phone.
6) Optional: Newer EVO style idrive controller

If you do your research and have the tools setup and ready, this swap can be done in under two hours. Parts cost from eBay is $1500-$2000

You absolutely should. I'd gladly pay for your services & expertise. At least maybe the mods could make it a sticky, so you're not bombarded with repeat questions ad nauseam. Please post up your results when you get that ATM emulator.

I don't think I really want to be in this business but it has me curious. What would people be willing to pay for:

yes.. i think they would make it so everything is plug and play (pre-coded) and it would make a lot of folks happy.

I would love help with just the coding. Haha that's where I struggle. Swapping boxes is easy. I've had min out several times

No no. Just saying if I were to tackle this the coding is where I struggle in general. I'm good with FDL and using one of the apps. Even used ESYS once but now with the codes expired i can't access it.

I recently had some coding done on my 2018 X5M and the seat no longer retracts for "Easy Exit"... We tried the coding in this thread and it doesn't work and disables the steering wheel from retracting as well. Anyone on here have any ideas or suggestions on how to code this back into my vehicle?

I recently coded my f85 using Bimmer Code app and Veepeak. The only option that doesn't work is closing the rear hatch using the remote. Do I have to go into expert mode?

No. Go back and make sure 'Tailgate function remote control' is set to open & close. Worked for me.
