Rear fogs and Forced braking on the F85 will not work for the U.S.. The F85 require Euro switch and taillights.

Edit: I thought you meant rear fogs. Your request can be found in the F15 coding cheat sheet.

Find my cheatsheet in the F15 forums.

Greetings,

I recently purchased a cable and remote coding from bmwesys.com I do not feel comfortable doing it myself. Antonio is very professional, friendly and has great communication. I highly recommend his services.

Will the dealer be able to detect we have changed items? Would love to do simple things like USB video, DVD Video in motion, trunk and windows close by key fob, front camera enable while moving :-) Would not want to void my warranty just have a little bit of fun.

Those are not related to a warranty.
It is more related to DOT, local PD, highway patrol, NHTSA, and your insurance company.
Those features are disabled by BMW per DOT and NHTSA law and regulation, which is enforced by law enforcement and since it is not DOT or NHTSA compliance, your insurance company MAY not cover you for any incident just because of that.
But hey, we are all adult and old enough to have a common sense to not watch or text while driving.

short answer, yes, the dealer can detect if you've brought the car in for something that requires evaluation. I've got a bad speaker, for instance, and they detected "an ASD fault" which they were going to remediate (and turn ASD back on) until I told them NO don't do that I had ASD coded off myself. None of these mods have any impact on warranty. But just inform your service advisor when you go in that you've had certain things coded and that they shouldn't do coding changes without your input. You might even want to make a sign (I'm going to do this when I bring my car in for the speaker replace) as they often ignore or miss requests regardless. HTH

I second this. He coded my F85 and F15 and his communication was excellent. Will definitely do business with him again.

I'm having some issues coding my X5M. When I try and read data for the HU_NBT module (for example), I get an error stating that it cannot find the cafd file.

Can anyone help??? Do I just have old data (54.1)? Or something else?

Thanks in advance

Just pm you with the version downloads. Data should be 58.x at this point with a newer Esys version.

Yes. A sign might be necessary. Told the dealer to not wash my car about 5 times. Got it written down. Wasn't enough.

Yup. I'm going tomorrow to get a speaker replaced. There will be a sign on the dash and I'm going to tell the service advisor too. Anyone want odds that they'll still re-code ASD?

Hey guys ... has anyone had luck coding Navigation inside the instrument cluster? I don’t know why it is that in the F86 I can’t get Navi in the KOMBI and only in HUD. Even if you uncheck Nav from the HUD settings, it still won’t work. This is odd since I’ve had nav in kombi since my first f10, 7+ years ago in 2010! What’s your experience?

Anyone know and recommend someone in the NYC area for coding?

I wouldn't mind having the interior light coding again along with the front fog lights ability to be on with only the parking lights.

TIA

Thank you for the recommendation!

I wouldn't mind reaching out to see what my options are.

Would it be possible for you to PM me contact info?

I like to keep a very small digital footprint, so I don't have IG or any other social media besides FB for work and Bimmer Post.
