My purchase experience (used wheels)
Bought the wheels from seller (SpecialSauce21) and was told only one wheel had a slight nick, guess what, all 3 have curb rashes.. The pictures he sent me, 3 wheels had part of them cut out, intentional I guess
This post is FYI only and buyers and sellers both be cautioned and careful when doing a transaction. Last edited by quick; 08-07-2020 at 04:03 PM.. |

He had some arrogant posts, I typically stay away from those sellers who think they're smarter than others. Hope you get every penny back.

There is a special place in hell, for people who are dishonest when selling wheels (edited, yes...)
PP should have no reason to not rule in your favor. Last edited by 1norseman; 08-07-2020 at 02:26 PM.. |

If this idiot didn't agree, I plan on getting the proper repair estimate which would be at least $300 each or let the sucker pay $700 $( 340 each way) to get the wheels back to his ass. What a fool... |

Just to be clear...my name appears in "Special Sauce's" text reply...but I am NOT the person at the center of this controversy. They apparently took a screen grab from a forum discussion that just happens to be from me.
Just tossing it out there in case someone incorrectly draws a line that connects me to "SS" as being one-in-the-same...we are not...don't have a clue who they are.

$2100 + shipping It's not about the money, the fact he misrepresented the wheels and then not willing to talk, is what ticked me off. Honestly, I just needed an acknowledgement and I would have moved on but when you try to act smart and get caught, you are then responsible for your actions. Did not know that, learn something new everyday... what about the shipping I paid to get the wheels ? I still think, since he misrepresented the wheels as clearly seen in the txts, why would he not be responsible for shipping both ways?

Your A Joke!! You should tell them where u thought the sensors of the wheels are? lol the guy send me a picture of the back of the wheels saying they have no sensors. lol Personally I didnt even want to sell this guy the wheels. You offered 2k, ask me a million question until my inbox got full twice. Then came like hey.. ya I just did the math. I need sensors that's $500 + I need tires that's $1500 can you go lower on these wheels. I need them mount and balance that $200 Can you go lower ??? (my answer) NO! Okay let me think about. I told him if you aren't comfortable with the wheels don't buy them. I was on ebay trying to help this nut case find sensors to put of the back of the wheels lmaoo. he then came back 2 days later with another million more question, then said yah let's do the deal. When it was time to buy oh I was busy at work. okay that's fine.. then came back later that day and said oh my paypal isnt working my cc is full, I need to clear up a couple things. a The guy even was like OMG thank you for having some much patience with me. You should also tell all the others on this thread what was giving to you at no cost to you? Now he filed a complaint with Paypal to get $400 as a partial refund. I rather give them away honestly. If you feel like I misrepresented you in any way send me the wheels back and I will refund you 100% and this will be done n done. He has to be the best buyer in the world lol Never again I swear. |

I had a customer, who is on this forum, who was just like the OP. I told him, I'll gladly refund you if you send wheels back. PayPal sided with me and customer didn't want to pay shipping back. This was all over a missing centercaps.
Wheels were sold in used condition, what did you expect? Whoever is charging you $300 to refinish a wheel is def ripping you off. $500 in sensors? Seller shouldn't have sold you these wheels at all. I surely wouldn't have! |

As much as I love to watch drama on here this shouldn't be too hard to work out. I had three wheels repaired for $150 and they were worse than these. You guys could just split the cost.

I too got burned selling big ticket items on ebay, happened twice, lesson learned. Now for everything that's over $200 I use craigslist.
Buyers can easily scam sellers on ebay or when accepting paypal, simply claim the item was not as described and either don't return it or send back a bag of potatoes. Paypal will tell you just to file a police report and will always side with the buyer, no questions asked, worse they'll let the buyer keep the product sometimes. Sellers know this and know they can get away, not to mention scumbags get bold and blackmail you into agreeing to a partial refund. I now get legal counsel services as a company perk for only $100 deductible/use, wish I had that at the time to sue the buyer and prove a point. |
