Interesting- saw 2 2014 X5s with Camo riding around in downtown charlotte yesterday.
Didn't have time to snap a picture.

Not a fan of the body shape. Won't be looking to change my 2011 X5 35d anytime soon.

kind of going with the F30 3-series front nose theme...I like it, but again, I don't drive an X5 currently.

Would love more diesel/hybrid options on the drive train...will welcome new chassis from F10.

In a few short months we will see that the car will look exactly like this.

BMW are in no hurry to replace the current car as the E70 is significantly contributing large amount of sales for the BMW Group even though the car is near the end of its life. The transition to F15 from E70 will be effortless with the production F15 arriving in the last quarter of 2013.

What's the thing with those holes in the fenders? Are they fake or for real? Is it necessary or just an ugly styling-gimmick?

The 3 Series GT have them too, but the sedan and touring haven't, so it seems like somebody at the designdepartement just couldn't stop designing.

I don't like them, but at least they're functional. I didn't think they have a function because the 3 Series sedan en touring don't have it and the GT does; that's why it seemed just a gimmick to me.

That Red one in the magazine render looks great to me. Sporty and Dynamic. I will be in a position to upgrade my E70... Will take a drive for sure.

It's good the designer didn't go a-la AMC Gremlin/Hyundai on the C pillar window like the X3 and X1 designs. Whew.

I don't know if others feel this way, but one of the key features that I think determines the style of BMWs is the crease line that goes across the mid body level. In my opinion, I tend to like a dominant crease line that runs parallel to the ground and doesn't slope downwards too much. I like how the 5 series looks. I think the X3 crease line looks hideous. It slopes downward like Hyundais. I hope the X5 doesn't inherit X3's downward sloping crease line.

I don't think the X3 crease goes down as much as the window curves up. That was rather well lampooned on Top Gear. Here's the X3:

It seems the X5 LCI will be spared the curved window but the beltline succumbed.
